I guessed I missed all the drama over the weekend. I admit when I used to be on this board daily last season that I got into the debates and drama that I wished I hadn't but since I haven't been on the board near as much as last season I am reading the back and forth and it is quite comical, stupid and sad really.

I ask each of you on both sides of aisle to take a step back and read what you are posting to fellow OU fans. Would you say this crap you are posting to their face and personally, verbally attack and want to fight if you were tailgating with them at a game and having a friendly debate about anything to do with OU football, Politics or Religion? I don't think so. I've been on this board long enough to know that most everyone that posts here is quite knowledgeable about OU football so I don't see what the big deal is about having a different opinion and who cares if they disagree with your opinion. You want to fight over that? Really?

I think the problem is drunk posting. I wonder if we could get a tab to click that way when anyone is drunk and posting they can click on the button and that lets everyone know they are drunk and would explain a lot.

I've not been on the board as regularly as I used to so I have been able to read this stuff from afar. Since there are no more mods here and we are having to police ourselves I ask each of you scoopers to step back and read your posts twice and think is it worth it before hitting that reply button and say something that is embarrassing, verbally abusive and/or act like you are the expert on OU football and everyone else is an idiot. It just makes you look bad. I don't think anyone that posts here is on the OU coaching staff or is a current player for OU. If you are then you may know more than the rest of us if not then your opinion and cup of coffee are all about the same.

Although as a reader of this board it does make for a lot of laughter when someone says they will be at so and so place and come tell it to their face, HA! reminds me of Jim Traber when that happens. So funny.

Some of you guys ag this stuff on between posters and rile up people even more. You know who you are.

JCon - I admit it is very entertaining to read this stuff and I do laugh at most of it but when you have grown men wanting to physically fight or call out with verbal insults like a teenager or Jim Traber over a message board then I think that is pathetic. I just don't see men doing this face to face. My son calls it the white sunglasses affect. He said that while in the military they noticed that every time you see a guy wearing white sunglasses he was acting like a douchbag. I've started noticing that when you see a guy wearing white sunglasses you will notice that they think they are better than you and most times are arrogant jerks. Watch for this and most times it is true.

The few that complain every week about our great coaches need to take a hike! Other programs would kill to have the Stoops brothers.

I can't speak for everyone, but I will only 'take a hike' when/if you place me on ignore. Otherwise I'll continue to discuss OU football each week, win or lose and you will continue to read them. If you don't enjoy the discussions, it's then on you.

I challenge you to find them and then post any commentary you feel that is negative from last week's game. I enjoyed the first qtr and subsequently had to go to work. But your post just re-enforces that you once again automatically just lump posters together in an effort to quell comments that you don't like. Use the ignore button. It's your newest best friend on this board.
