Dan isn't going anywhere. Marcello, why are we struggling in recruiting? My sources tell me Dan isnt very good when it comes to in home visits. And that one major reason we lost CJ was bc the only staff member with a close relationship was Manny Diaz. When he left, CJ felt lost with our staff.

Well, I can say that a lot of fans have been upset with the recruiting classes lately. Mullen's best class, arguably, was his first one and many hoped it would improve. It doesn't help that fans can immediately compare classes to its rivals at Ole Miss. We'll see after this season.

Here's what folks have to understand about coaching: it's a business. Very few coaches stick at one school for a great length of time. Don't get worked up over whether or not a coach leaves, most likely they will (remember: Saban left LSU). But also appreciate the ones that love MSU like we do: Stansbury, Polk, Cohen, Williams, Felker, Sherrill. They may not have all been great, or lost some luster over time, but they demonstrated a personal commitment to MSU.

I'm saying based on my observations on the guy - I know he's a RFr and has lots of room to grow but when he was being recruited at a highly touted tackle prospect. Now he's at G, which is fine, but he's already been beat out on the depth chart by Clausell, Muniz, Day.

I know some OL can develop slowly but I'm just saying I don't think this guy is going to turn out to be the kind of player we thought he would be when we signed a 4-star OL that had a bunch of high level offers at one point.

According to some posters on here that is all that matters....stars and hight level offers. Just goes to showhowa 4 star prospect in Mississippi stacks up against lower star prospects from out of state. I'll take a 3* from La or Ala over a 4* from Miss any day. Hell, I'll take a 2* juco over some of these 4* high schoolers from Miss.
