If you haven't been to Commonwealth this season, Marcus McClinton comes out before the 4th quarter and gets the crowd going nuts. It's a night-and-day difference from the last few years there, in terms of the energy in the stadium to start the 4th quarter. We talked with him about coming back to help the program.

He does a great job. Also looks like he could still play.
His rap is still legendary. I wish they played it at games.
Those guys who made that video could sure play some football. Little was way underrated btw!

I sit in the upper deck and have never experienced the "crowd going crazy" so maybe it's happening in the lower deck. I'm just not a fan of the specialty cheerleaders. The same for the featured food from the concessions stand on-field commercials. Very amateur.
It's college football... I actually go to watch the game. Strange, I know.
Nope......not at all, but I don't care for rap, though. The music isn't too loud. I think the volume level is just fine. I prefer the rock music. That's all.
They started doing the 4th quarter pump up to try to establish some gameday traditions. For example Florida rolls out a some random loser and has them sing the fight song at halftime. I think its been moderately successful.
I understand. I just don't care for it and would like to see them keep trying to come up with something better. There's a reason Baskin & Robbins has thirty-one (31) flavors, as we simply cannot all like the same things. I'd rather see Capiluto come out of the chute riding a horse around the field to begin the fourth quarter than have former players trying to lead cheers.

I know what you mean. I don't like it when people do things that aren't my idea, either.
Don't have anything against McClinton, but that yelling and screaming (fake) is more irritating than the spelling out of C-A-T-S in pre-game. Think we can come up with something better to energize the crowd.
You don't like seeing former players back on the field leading cheers? Well you're choice of the band is shaky at best.
For real. The guy is a beast.
Fake? You think his intensity so fake? I think if anything, he's too intense. Ya it's not the greatest tradition ever, but it's pretty good.
