Depends on how many cheese doodles and pork rinds Heird can lay his hands on.
No seriousness to the story. Apparently Pizza the Hut’s agent is taking a page out of Porky Stupes’ guy’s playbook and is looking for a bump. The yuts have more than 10M a year committed to those two fat tubs of goo - and they still can’t sniff a division crown. Wish I knew where Barnfart played poker…
So some UK writer lamenting that they are being used by Team Marrow to get Vince a raise. First it was the asinine notion that he going to UC as head coach and now that he was going to come to UofL. 
Just my opinion. It’s a complete fabrication put out by Rowland and Sweeney to get Murrow a pay bump at UK and try to claim some kind of “win” over Brohm and UofL by sucking some air out of UofL’s recent feel good story. Also being trafficked as news by local message board leadership simply for clicks.
This is another attempt to get a raise and rub Louisville nose in it.

Marrow is a recruiter. Normally really good at it.
As far as coaching anything else, Kentucky has not yet developed a player at the tight end position that plays pro.

The only way Marrow is leaving UK is for a coordinator position or head coaching job. Stoops won’t even do that. And he isn’t getting a head coaching job.
UK media has been promoting him because he feeds them recruiting info. They get $$$ from that information and he gets a raise. There is no way they release that without his approval.
Now the interesting thing is why some Louisville rivals guys bought into it. I assume they are just stirring the pot.
If I am Barnhart I tell Stoops to go kick rocks if he comes asking for another raise for Big Dawg.

NIL and the transfer portal are huge influences in how these rosters come together, but the vast percentage of scholarship kids continue to arrive at these schools “the old fashion way” ……. specifically by recruiting the High Schools. Think of how many 2 and 3 Star recruits end up impacting at the D1 level.

Barnfart not exactly known as a savvy negotiator. Somehow he fell for the ridiculous notion that the Lakers were interested in Cow and gave him a lifetime contract with a never ending 50M buyout.
Then he gives Porky Stupes - who has exactly 2 winning seasons in the sec East and is about 20 games under .500 in the sec overall - a raise to 9M per.
So yeah - I’ll put my money on Pizza the Hut in this battle of wits.

I agree with your premise but, in reality it makes perfect sense - if you like playing connect the dots.
1. Apparently there is a previous friendly relationship with Brohm.
2. Brohm just named coach at UofL to great fanfare to us - and a bunch of handwringing to the yuts knowing that Louisville now has someone who understands and cares about the rivalry again.
3. HC moves always mean new guys are brought in as typically staffs don’t stay together 100% - so the climate is there.
4. He’s going to physically be in Louisville so, his agent floats the rumor that gets picked up by media looking to break stories- but no word of who the interest is from.
5. There is literally not one other program that losing a coach to would bother them more than to UofL.
6. Pizza the Hut - with great indignation - gets to shoot down the rumors and profess his loyalty to the yuts but, the seed has been planted.
7. Porky Stupes talks about how important Pizza is and how they need to retain him no matter what, causing Barnfart to open the checkbook to fend off all of the programs’ imaginary interest and voilà - PtH and his family are swimming in sausage gravy.
Ha-I think having the UK site release was pretty smart. It gives the story some validity. Completely different than if the Louisville site were to release it. The Louisville site follows suit and says it has legs. The seed is planted.
Now add in the frustration their fan base has with Stoops lack of offense. The last thing Stoops/their fans want is Marrow at Louisville with Brohm.

Stoops is from Ohio, but until Morrow joined the staff Ohio was not much of recruiting territory for UK. I believe this staff will go back to into the Southern Ohio market with particular attention to greater Cincinnati. Fickell really excited UC fans with the success that 2021 team enjoyed, but since his departure I am not sure Satterfield will be able to sustain that level of support. Funny, but the Bengals suck a lot of energy away from UC.
I wish they would delete this thread. UK envy is over two thirds of the Louisville fans!

But that’s also disrespecting Lackford and his sources. I don’t think he’d BS to help Marrow get a raise
My personal belief is the local UofL guys (Spalding and Lackford) perpetuated the rumors started by Rowland and Sweeney for social media clicks. JMO. I’m a suspicious person by nature,
Maybe not 100% intentionally but something is going on, as this is multiple times this type of rumor has been started just recently. The week before it was reported that uc was interested in him - which is probably a sillier rumor than him coming to UofL. Marrow has the reputation of doing stuff like this to get attention and salary bumps. He's an attention *****.
