Went to last night’s game. Granted the opposition was not top shelf, but this team is going to more than hold its own and could be pretty special. The new players are solid. Impressive.
Was the crowd into the game? CLA sounded pretty dead, but sometimes the broadcast doesn't pick up the crowd very well. I wouldn't expect a super raucous crowd, though, for game 1 against NC A&T.
My prediction is that we'll be in the NCAAT. However, that's based solely on the fact that basketball and football have alternated successful seasons since 2022. Football is bad this year so basketball is due for a good season.
I was actually surprised at the size of the crowd, nice turnout; haven’t looked at the actual numbers though. I don’t know how to answer the ‘crowd into it’ question; it was about like it usually is for a similar opponent. I don’t really pay that much attention to that aspect, and imo the CLA itself is focused a little more toward cutesy than the game itself.
