Good for him - I think he’ll be a solid pro defensive back. He’s certainly a good enough athlete and I think he’ll be physical

Scouts attend bowls too
I hear ya but I hate it when players excuse themselves from bowl games
I don’t . Especially these meaningless bowls.

It will be interesting with NIL and maybe employee status to see what happens with bowls . Could be breach of contract to sit

Rutgers has good track record for DBs at the pro level. Good measurables, good tackler. All about speed.

Sure should be, part of season results. Otherwise, wtf are you paying for?

Barring that, agree about anything short of a top bowl or match-up ...can't blame anyone for being adverse to injury risk.

Seeing lots of posts on X that think Max will be a Round 3-4 Pick. Obviously lots of work to do before then.

At the Senior Bowl, the game itself is secondary. What matters are the practices and workouts during the week. It's like a pre-combine combine.
The "all star" games are the biggest thing outside of game film...and as you said- not the game, but the practices. Now, keep in mind- it is also a football political game that it matters who is coaching as well. The AS coaches can have a major impact on the practices and who gets the looks.

I would have thought 3rd round based on his play this year and last. Still don't get those that say he had a down year- yayaya got beat here and there- yayaya had this or that PI called.
Dude was on an island most of the year. And at least 2 of those PI's were complete BS.

I think that because we didn't hear his name called as much as we did last year- blitzes or open field tackles- makes people think it was a down year- when you are man 2 man most of the year against HR hitters- you are no longer called on to blitz or be in position to make those tackles- just the fact that we heard about him in maybe 10 plays or less- should tell you all you need to know.
If he played at an elite- he would be 1st round

Amen. Max had a good year. Did he have some mistakes? Sure. But as you said kid was on an island and matched against the primary receiver 90% of the time. Kid has elite speed and flexible hips. Not afraid of contact. He will make a great NFL db.
