Missou's offense is very fast paced and sideline/sideline. We better shut this down. They're not that good but they could cause an issue.

Saw somewhere that Missouri is the fastest between plays in the NCAA, something like 17 seconds. Not a real strong running team but they throw it well enough to give UK trouble.
They've also caused Middle several substitution penalties so far and we are still 10 to go in the 2nd.

Saw something that I haven't seen in a while. With 1:20 left in the half Missou ran a WR screen/quick pass. All 5 OL sprayed low to cut the DL's legs out from under them. They missed every single block and it ended up with all 5 OL on their bellies and all 5 DL running towards the ball.
I haven't seen a blocking scheme like that outside of goal line situations for quite some time.

Saw a stat that Mizzou has already ran about 70+ plays early in the 3rd Qtr. Mizzou's D is very porous. I know we got another game starting in less than an hour, but I think we can take these guys.

I think UK matches up really well against Missou. The main thing is just to be quick on the defensive switches and schemes.
MTSU isn't a terrible team. That said, Missouri is a winnable game. It always has been.
Of course we need to win tonight before we think about going to Missouri and winning.

I was just getting to post something about it. It is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that college football games are now frequently approaching FOUR hours, and longer, if there is overtime. Something needs to be done about this, and I would start with keeping the clock running after a first down.

Agreed. Now they're going to spend more time seeing if a Mizzou guy was targeting the QB. And the ref just DQ'ed the guy.
Yeah, they need to start the clock after the ball gets set at the line.

I'm already aggravated about this, and the aggravation is only going to increase if I miss so much as one minute of the UK game, because of this (I don't get the alternate channel here). If they can't keep these games under 4 hours, then they need to start keeping a 4 hour gap between games on the same network. Of course, it should never have to come to that.

Missouri will have open tryouts to field a team next week, hope like hell all Cats make it tonight with no injuries or ejection. I feel real good about next week.
Yessir. They may be without a starting CB, LB, and DL for next wk. and that doesn't include the half that the guy is out for targeting.
We run the ball well which is what both teams are doing well.
Missou's stud freshman RB now has a banged up shoulder. They are paying for this game a lot.
