Guy called in and asked coach about Patrick somebody (can't remember the last name he said) but was talking about Towles. Then asked if he was on the team but claimed to be from NKY originally and kept up with the Bluebirds. Then he asked Stoops about a quote that he attributed to Don Shula that I don't think was a Shula quote and then proceeded to ask if "Mullins" got fired at MSU would he come to KY. Thankfully Tom cut the guy off. What is wrong with people?

Not a big MS fan, but that kind of BS is totally uncalled for.

Sadly, it is all too likely he was dealing with a U of L fan calling from his parents' attic after coming home from standing 8 hours at the grill at Steak n' Shake. The things that must pass for entertainment when you find yourself in that shape at 40, complaining about paying $40.00 week child support.

Think just how incompetent he has to be. He thought Patrick Towles was still on our team. Next, he attributed a quote to Don Shula of the Dolphins when it was I believe spoken about Shula by another coach, i.e. He'll beat yourens with hisens or he'll take yourens and beat hisens. He only got about half of the quote right. And then asked if Dan Mullens of MSU gets fired this year, do you think he'll take this job. One, Dan isn't getting fired if he only wins 3 or 4 games this year. I wish Tom or Mark had asked him what Charm School he graduated from. And two, if he gets fired from MSU, why would we want him. KY doesn't have 22 junior colleges producing huge numbers of college athletes especially the big uglies and Dak Prescott isn't on our team.

There was absolutely no call for it, but the guy did sound like a total idiot and the timing of Tom hanging up was hilarious.

They shouldn't take "callers" They need to take questions via twitter or text. I haven't listened to a call in show in ages because of cra like this.

Good point... Twitter or text only.

Probably that Daryl guy. He was bragging about confronting CMS but the next day he admitted he had changed his name and city on the call. Kinda cowardly to do that and then brag about it on the KSR show where his " celebrity" status arose. Hardly can put a complete sentence together but it went to his head. Believes people truly value his opinion

Hoping to get a T Shirt with his name on it sold through the KSR web site, a la #TeamDarryl.

Unfortunately, society rewards so many for being stupid and rude these days.

Does this show not know about screeners of calls before putting them on with coach?

They tried that years ago and people quit listening as it was just lollypops and fluff. They use to have an 8 second delay, not sure if they use any kind of delay now but that's the best way to cut off the morons before they are heard by normal fans.

Has to be a troll. I'd like to believe our fans couldn't be that stupid.

Calls like these are why I had to stop listening to the call-in shows..."hey coach Stoops...uhhhh, do you think that we're gonna get those 6 wins this year so we can get to a bowl game?" or "hey Coach Cal....when are u gonna play Tai Wynyard? That kid's supposed to awesome and I believe he can help us but you just won't never put him in" (both asked in the most redneck, country voices anyone could imagine). It's funny but incredibly painful to hear.

The coach call in shows are too sterile. All fluff and lollipops.

That caller was a Troll. He had all of the early signs of a UofL fan. Surprised it took so long for Tom to catch him since he didn't even know Patrick Towles name and that he had transferred, although he claimed to be from N. KY.

These Trolls are going to keep trying to make the #BBN look bad, since the controversy over Coach Stoops' Vandy Post-Game comments.

They should be called out for being so desperate.

Starting ridiculous rumors, sending inappropriate things to Eliot and the staff, callers saying this stuff. Yeah, our fanbase continues to look ridiculous when it comes to football.

Probably a ul fan from Paducah! Shouldn't be hard to identify, can't be over two or three of them in all of the county and city combined!

I think the quote has been said about Bear Bryant many years ago and maybe coach Rupp too!

It would be wonderful if Stoops would quit and if Mullen would be our next head coach.

Unfortunately Stoops will likely win enough to keep job for the next few years.

Geeze that sounds awful /s
Let's hope Stoops can't turn it around and win some games so a guy who's not even available or interested can take his place.

Live shows have to have delays so words that could hurt the children don't get said on air.

Boggles my mind why they cant' figure out that they don't have to take live calls to have a talk show. Screen calls, tweets, emails for good, interesting questions and have Tom read them on the air. I know they think they'll be called out for "protecting the coach" or "keeping the real fans from voicing their opinion" but really most of us just want to hear a coherent program that is a little less embarrassing to listen to.
