I hate that Franklin doesn't get to play Swain this year. Regardless of conference affiliation, Franklin should always play Swain, Murphy and Smoky Webster every year.

I wonder if Brevard and Pisgah will schedule each other in week 2 just to fill out the schedule. There wouldnt be any harm in playing each other twice, especially in a year like this.

I would normally be in favor of that kind of idea but this isn't a normal year. I think Brevard would be better off having that week to practice than play another game. I'm worried about the lack of off-season training and practice time before the season for all teams. JMO.

That was the approach my head coach took when we only played 9 games a year on varsity instead of 10 my junior and senior year. As a player I always wanted to play more, but I've never had to manage a team so I had to trust there was validity in what he was doing.
