This could be the first time since 2005 the Elks and Bears could have a good matchup.
#13 for west is a heck of a player. With that athletic ability and hands he should get some good offers.
It’s more off a slight to west scheduling down than disrespecting 1A ball. But take it anyway you want.
100%. West Stokes would be dumb to not always have Mount Airy & East Surry on their schedule and vice versa because of the gate alone. I do think West Stokes should always try and have Mount Tabor or Reagan as well.
The Forsyth Schools only have 2 maybe 3 games they can schedule in non conference that aren't Forsyth County Schools. Depending on their conference slate. The system is really big on playing within the county for non conference. I don't think they would be good games for West.
Now here’s a man that gets my point.
Yeah I get their rivals. But when you have 300 or more students. They shouldn’t be rivals. They will probably win that weak conference again and then bow out meekly in second round of the 2A playoffs.
One thing I noticed about West Stokes last night was there numbers, not many kids on the sidelines at all. No qb , he made a few throws but would be better in the backfield with brown. Good win for a young bears team that’s trying to find themselves. One week at a time for them . Confidence is key and finding ways to win and not to lose. Should be 2-0. But I think expectations run high as the bar has been set high the last several years. Gonna be interesting to see how this group progresses. One game at a time and 1percent better every week.
Crowd was sparse at best last night. Qb was not as bad as i was told but he had a receiver that was like Greene. Just throw it up and he would get it
