The Dogs broke through with a dominant win over Franklin last season. Will they do it again in "The Pit" this season? I'll take Murphy, 45-7.

Just a reminder The Pit is no easy place to play and Murphy hasn’t won there in the last 10 years. I’ll just be happy with a win

A turtle was spoted in Murphy today meandering by the practice field. When someone called it Franklin, the people of Murphy quickly went into their conspiracies accusing Franklin the Turtle for being of being a spy for Franklin.

No doubt Murphy would've scored 40+ last year if they kept the starters in.

But yeah, no way I see 40+ this Friday. There's still a lot of work and improvement that must take place offensively.
I don't think Franklin is as down as the Asheville score would indicate. They are young, and it was the first varsity game for most of the kids. Hell, no team in the area played an outstanding game last week, it was the first game. Murphy should roll, but Franklin has been a historically tough matchup for Murphy. It's like Murphy playing at Swain, or Mitchell playing at Avery. You throw the records out the window.

I didn't get to go to the FHS-Asheville game but I'm concerned about our offense. I don't know what Asheville is packing on the defensive line but a Franklin team that can't run the ball is in trouble. Hopefully our youngn's on the line grew up a little last week and this week is better.

Murphy gets two in a row though, as the maturation of Franklin's young team takes another painful step.
