Treat yourself if you are uninitiated. He's one of the best songwriters in America. Damn good performer who gives extra to every audience, too.

Not sure that I'd describe it as "cool" but they have a lot of good music there. Like Paul Thorn.

It's a better venue than the where I first saw him play. The Village Tavern at the corner of Lawndale and Ida St in Tupelo. He's come a long way from Tupelo. I saw hiim play a couple of years ago at an invitation only party just himself and his guitar. He is funny guy as well as a talented singer/song writer.

" It's A GOOD DAY TO WHUP SOMEBODY"S *** " is pretty cool. He's got a sense of humor too.

unless you like umbrellas in your drinks or martinis. It's what you would expect from a live music place that also serves beer and food. I love going there. Just please, please, please don't give the homeless people and money!!! You'll definitely be hit up there, and pretty much anywhere downtown. There's a fantastic mission not far from there that provides everything they need (except drugs and alcohol). <div>I've seen Paul play before at another venue and he was pretty good. It sometimes makes me cringe though at the thought that some carpetbagger down here would take his schtick as real. </div>

he hates performing that song. Absolutely hates it. For my money, of his lighthearted stuff, I'll take I Guess I'll Just Stay Married.

Hilarious.

For humor, I like "Joanie,The Jehovah's Witness Stripper," but like I already said, I like them all. By the way, "Joanie" is a hidden track on Paul's early album, Hammer and Nail. Mentioned that in case somebody is looking for it on an album.

He's fun to be around and a great live performer. Here's a photo of us with him before he went on stage.

Got in the car and thought the radio was off. About a minute later that kazoo kicked in. Scared the hell out of me.
And you're right. They are all good.
