Almost identical situation with Cindric earlier this year except it was just for stage 2 . Sliced Bread thought that Cindric should have pushed him instead of trying to win the stage himself.

Pretty classy way to treat your teammates.
*Language warning*

That is a good one! How dare Cindric not get out of line on a Superspeedway to help Logano win a stage.

The Penske cars looked like garbage in practice and qualifying yesterday. Might be a long day for the 12 and 22.

Looks like the Kyle and Denny show coming up tonight.

As a fan of the #12 I cant express enough how disgusted I am with myself for being absolutely correct 😅

The 12 Slams into the wall in Stage 1 and knocks himself out of the race. Essentially putting him in a win or be eliminated mode the next 2 races. The Denny gets P1 and Kyle P2

Las Vegas has not been kind to him 2 straight years with the 32nd place run last year. Blaney hasn't made his path easy. Will have to step up in the clutch again to make the Championship 4. The madness of Talladega could put someone else in a bad situation going into Martinsville. Can't wait for this weekend!

You're right that it will probably be pure madness today. Hopefully we don't have a "Big one" and wipe out half the field. I will be curious as to if some hang out in the back trying to avoid trouble for the first part of the race.

Looks like great weather in Talladega. Thinking we might see some random driver win today because anything can happen there.

Hopefully I can enjoy the race after my daughter allows me to escape this Birthday party she's attending 😅

Nearly had the first winner with Gilliland in 2. I thought that was a good race today. Picked up there in the final laps before Buescher crashed. Larson poor luck on the superspeedways continues, running out of fuel on the backstretch of the last lap. +36 above the cut line.

That was brutal for Kyle. I was wondering if other drivers were going to start running out of gas and dropping like flies after that.

Martinsville is going to be intense. A few drivers in the must win category it seems.

Was rooting for Byron, but being a Hendricks honk for 30 years now, I’ll take the result.

Hamlin looked legitimately depressed. Luckily he has a few tens of million of dollars, a wife, kids, amazing life, no 9-5 job. I guess he’ll be ok. I would be PISSED if I had to watch that sob story video right before the race and then get interviewed about it.

Great day for our guys, Blaney with the win and Larson winning #2! I wouldn't have been mad if Hamlin won though given his Father's condition that he is in, and how much they sacrificed for him to go racing when he was a kid.

That was likely a career changing defeat for Denny. If he wins the Championship who knows if DH would sail off into the sunset and turn his focus into being an owner. Now here he is towards the end of his career and no Championship and he's got to start the grind all over again when he had it in his fingertips. I think that's what all was going through his head when they showed him in his car after the race.

Just brutally screwed by that late caution.

I was traveling yesterday and only caught the last 12 laps. Right on time I guess but it seems Larson had a terrible day but his crew kept gambling with right sides only and it paid off. Im sure Denny's crew chief is kicking himself for not doing the same. Was an exciting finish for sure.

Blaney just had the worst luck this year. Thought he had the win last week after he left the pits first late in the race but Byron was too strong.

Curious to see the moves in the off-season. Suarez to the Spire 7 and you would think Trackhouse will move Zilisch into the 99.

So wouldn't DH won if he'd taken just two tires like everyone else?

Sure does seem that way. Another thing to consider is that other cars further back in the pack stayed out and did not pit. If Hamlin didn't pit at all that would have put those other cars between DH and Larson. Larson would have had to get through all of those cars and pass Hamlin in 2 laps to get the win.

These guys think no pit or two tires was the call.

Richard Petty says Hamlins crew made the right call but "traffic didn't cooperate." Well imo that is part of the reason why you can't take 4. It kills your track position and there is too much traffic to pass everyone in 2 laps.

Phelps & O'Donnell should have been shown the door a long time ago. They have done more to disgrace NASCAR than anyone else not named Brian France.

I'm admittedly interloping here, but I just wondered how many (if any) of you have started to drift towards F1? The prevailing opinion is that it has gained a lot more popularity in the US over the last few years.

To be clear, both circuits have their place, and I enjoy ALL forms of motorsports. (my father and I have regularly attended races at Mid-Ohio for decades) It's just that, for ME personally, I find F1 more compelling. I enjoy the fact that the freedom that F1 teams have in car development offers a more interesting narrative than Indy car and NASCAR currently.

Please don't take this as a dig, because it's not. I'm mainly interested in if F1 truly IS garnering as much attention from purely American race fans as "they say" or if it is just "manufactured" interest via increased exposure. Peace.
