Yeah that ACCT and FF run bought him this season and he did nothing with it. He was going to get canned last season.

Definitely was being talked about being fired last year. But that run in the post season saved his job and he did nothing with it. NCState was potentially looking at a KP situation next year. They were smart to nip it in the bud.

I think he’s a good coach - but if we’re talking African American ACC coaches, I think Jeff Capel is my favorite, and I wasn’t shy last year about my belief that we should see if he’d be interested. I think he’s hit his ceiling with the decent fan support and average NIL checkbook he has at Pitt.

I’ll readily admit in hindsight that I’m thrilled we didn’t go in that direction. In CPK, we may just have found our next Denny Crum.
