Thomasville has a 3,000+ and a 3500+ yard rusher (single season) this decade and neither is listed. And, of course, Allen Brown’s 331 wins at one school.
WOW, these kids work hard and set records and the schools should send them in annually because these records will always be here for these players to show their kids.

NCHSAA rercords are woefully incomplete...….Reidsville in 2007 scored 773 points (16 games)…..in 2016 Rams scored 835 points (16 games) and 2017 they scored 777 points (16 games)……..Reidsville has also scored in excess of 700 points on 3 other seasons (2008, 2009, and 2018)……………..

When you see teams scoring over 700 and allowing under 50 in a season ,that's amazing ,Tarboro has been doing it the last couple years ,that's making a statement !

2018 Tsrboro 794 ps. 62 allowed
2008 Bears 845 ps. 94 allowed
Those teams were wearing it out ,and you gotta think ,there were probably running clocks put on most teams .The starters probably played half the game .I was at East game against East Wilkes and Starmount ,they had scored 55 and 56 before half with around three to four minutes left ,any of these teams could put up ninety easily ,East is on pace for this ,but can they take down Tarboro!
I would like to know how many running clocks MA had In 200$ ,I bet it was a lot !

Mandatory running clock was not in affect in 2008, both coaches had to agree. Some did, some didn’t. Seeing Coach Holder coach many times, I am quite sure he did not object to running clock. Believe it or not it was often the losing coach who did not want a running clock.

Good information ,I'm not crazy about the running clock ,because a lot of coaches use this time to play backup players and get some great experience .I haven't seen any coaches continue to play starters just to run points up In this area, most of our schools have great coaching and respect for other coaches.

Only bad thing to it is ,some teams MA ,East will continue to score regardless even with backup players .Both schools feeder programs are awesome ,I see nothing but better and better teams coming from Surry area.

1975 Maxton was 13-0. Scored 62.77 ppg and gave up 5.77. Differential 57.

Closest game was state semifinal win over undefeated Robbinsville 36-14 which was the only time time they were held under 40 and a 46 point game (46-0) was the only other game they were held under 50. Scored in the seventies three times and 86 in the title game (86-8 over North Duplin).

1A had less than thirty football playing schools at the time and the playoffs were three rounds hence the 13 game schedule.

I'm old enough (69) to remember that...and I do remember seeing that final score of the 1A game.....Hard to believe.....those numbers especially the avg margin of victory will probably never be broken...wonder how that would stack up nationwide? I'm guessing near, if not at the top...………...….
