Definitely not true. It's probably easier than it's ever been with the portal and NIL. It used to take 3 or 4 years to build something, now days you can be good in one season. .

yep! Kind of like how elections are held today. Instead of trying the person with the most honesty, loyalty and leadership qualities, we settle on who we think has the least amount of negative traits.... Got it!Now you are getting the hang of it!
I would too - if not for the fact that he’s 71.Ok, if we are going to overlook any transgressions then I want Coach Pitino back...
I didn’t say it couldn’t be done I said it is extremely challenging. You aren’t factoring in the roster turnover every year. You assume coaches can navigate the landscape flawlessly. No one is immune from making mistakes in rosters.Definitely not true. It's probably easier than it's ever been with the portal and NIL. All that means is a bunch of trash cans not getting emptied and toilets not getting cleaned. In order to help the financial situation we can keep KP on the payroll but move him to the janitorial department and hope he quits
I have watched him coach a few games with St. Johns and he still has more passion in his big toe than KP has in his whole body...I would too - if not for the fact that he’s 71.
Of that - I have no doubt…I have watched him coach a few games with St. Johns and he still has more passion in his big toe than KP has in his whole body...

Better yet, a Payne fire, then rehire for more money because we roll like that.Nice work on the list. I'd probably remove #4 but great work. Put Chris Mack on there to confuse the hell out of everybody.
I do like Ben McCollum, although he probably needs a D1 stop before Louisville to be a true contender. Zipp likes him because his current contract is $750k I believe which would be a likely easy buy out and good for Zipp's pocket book.Nice work on the list. I'd probably remove #4 but great work. I'm surprised nobody's got him already with 4 NCAA D2 titles and he's only 42 years old.I guess anything is on the table.

Why laugh? He's not #1 on my list. But if Zipp is right and money is THAT tight, he would have to be an option.
Seems like Ben has some potential but I agree that I'd like a coach that has some proven D1 experience and success as HC. Yeah thats not a guarantee of success either, but I thinks it's too big of a risk to get a coach straight from D2 to HC of this program.I do like Ben McCollum, although he probably needs a D1 stop before Louisville to be a true contender.
I agree 100% on Holloway. They freakin defend.Shaheen Holloway is an interesting prospect to me.
Oates, Beard, Cronin all have to be at the top of the list too.
I agree on Golden. Big time up and comer.I agree 100% on Holloway. They freakin defend.
I like Golden from Florida. Dude can coach.
Hah ! You are going to see some names on here even more ridiculous then hisAre you serious about Holloway his coaching record is at 54%?
Hell, thats how I feel about most of these top 5 lists that people put out. Pipe dreams.Hah ! You are going to see some names on here even more ridiculous then his![]()
Which names on this list do you see as a pipe dream or ones we shouldn't go after then?Hell, thats how I feel about most of these top 5 lists that people put out. Pipe dreams.
I guess you can go after anybody you want to... Looks like everyone on those lists have winning records. You have to ask yourself why the heck would Beard, Drew, or some of those guys want to leave their situation to come to a circus show that we have now? Maybe if we hadn't gone the Payne route or even if we made a different decision than Mack.Which names on this list do you see as a pipe dream or ones we shouldn't go after then?
A $16 million dollar buyout makes him a no-go. It'll be interesting to see where this administration decides to go with this and how much emphasis is on a gamble of future revenue vs. current value.I guess you can go after anybody you want to... Just for the record, I thought we might have a chance at Cronin, but he's definitely not a favorite here.
Nate Oates Crimson Tide leads the nation in scoring (90.1 / game) and is 2nd in made 3's (11.8 / game)' !A $16 million dollar buyout makes him a no-go.
