Hayesville, Rosman, and Cherokee all have new Head Coaches. Which of the 3 schools will have the best season?

Hayesville - they have a lot more talent. Not surprised if they finish fourth in conference. They will put up a fight with two of the top three in SMC.

Maybe one
Yep. Hayesville doesn't have the line play right now to compete with Murphy or Robbinsville. If Swain's line plays up to their size they won't them either.

Hayesville will have a good shot at 4th, will be between them an Andrews.

If Andrews can get a couple of their better athletes like Ellis and Scionti to play football this year they should be much improved with the other people they bring back. Andrews has plenty of young speed, they won the SMC in the 4×100 with just one upperclassmen.

No don't a tuff conference to coach it. I couldn't imagine taking over a team and trying to get something going.

Swain county finishes in top 2 this year.
And I assume you base that on their stellar performance last season against Murphy and Robbinsville? That big ol' line better start playing like Tarzan instead of Jane then. Both teams manhandled that line last year and bring most back.

Anyone heard if Hayesville plans on switching Mctaggart to QB? I saw they don’t have a player listed as a quarterback on their roster.

If they are smart they will play him at TE. If he plays at the next level that is where he will be. Do they have another potential QB? Surely they have some skill guys as good as they are in basketball.

McTaggart is going to play TE, Hayesville will have a McClure at QB and another one at RB this year. More then likely. From what I have heard.
Coach McClure has got alot of kids excited and committed to the program. I wouldn't put this team at 4th or better in the preseason. There is still a lot of ground to make up to be close to Murphy, Robbinsville, Swain. He is a first year head coach... I'm sure there is going to be some growing pains early in the season. Guys let's remember he is having to start from scratch on a program that doesn't have a foundation of football. (It's been a Long time since '97 and 02 when Hayesville won conference)(He's is currently pouring the footers). But with that said the schedule looks set up for a successful first year MAYBE one game above .500 which would be a good turn around and a step in the right direction. They could surprise a team, but with Hudl nothing is really a surprise anymore. I wish him nothing but the best. It will be a fun year for all SMC teams
