Why am so technically challenged when trying to post a picture. Can't you just cut and paste?

Of course you are talking about KC and NE because it fits your narrative. I pointed out a team that won the coin toss and lost the game and you call it apples/oranges.

You are making my argument. You said you wanted a college type OT. If that was the rule they would still be playing the game because you said both teams couldn't stop a Pop Warner RB. The score would be 300-300 now. The people who ***** about the coin toss are usually the ones whose teams got beat. Stop somebody then kick a field goal. Worked for the Rams.

No dog in any hunt yesterday, but good effort?

I didn't specifically mention you. I said the people who ***** are "usually" the ones whose team got beat.

But, I do find it funny that so many people want to change rules when they lose by them. I don't doubt there are some Chiefs fans out there complaining about the OT rules today because they lost.

But my point is a little larger than that. This, wanting to change rules all the time stuff because you lost, seems to be everywhere. We see it here when some 5A private school pounds a 5A public school in the playoffs. The public guys want rule changes. The private guys say, "get better."

Some clown politician loses an election and he or she wants the rules changed. Of course, if those rules changes benefit them, that is.

I’ve copied url links before but if it’s a photo like something off Facebook, the copy and paste doesn’t work.
I may have been a little flippant in my comment. Sorry about that. Using a URL and HTML tags should work but maybe only for links off the open web and not platforms like FB. I don’t know the answer, sorry.

I think the problem is saving a picture from Facebook. There’s no address. You almost have to search the net to see where someone got that photo and save the address from there. Funny thing is I copied and pasted a picture and it popped up but when I posted it disappeared. Oh well. The giggle will be gone by time I figure it out.

Is it Todd Gurley exchanging jerseys with the referee picture?

I think also Brady was given a gift on the final drive when a lineman barely touched him and they charged him with a 15 yard penalty and 1st down

Like I said before some of these great QBs are playing flag football while the other 10 players on the team are playing contact football. The QB protections have gone way too far.

All I am saying is they should go to the college playoff. Works for NCAA and makes the game way more entertaining. I was stating this when they went to this really weird if/then scenario for OT. Put the ball at the 25 and let both teams get a shot. It's actually brainless, which is likely why the NFL doesn't get it.

Jack Brickhouse, the long time TV broadcaster for the Cubs, mostly, but many years for the White Sox, too, said that many people feared that the introduction of videotape replays in baseball telecasts (around 1965) would make the umpires look bad. "To the contrary," he said, "it proved how good they were."

Of course, this was before Fox had 12 different views of practically every play. Today, umpires do their job with an entire network looking over their shoulder.

Then, some "expert" in NYC takes ten minutes to determine a simple resolution.

I didn't get to "hear" yesterday's KC/NE game. I only saw the video (for many reasons). It appeared that the refs were taking forever to review countless plays in that frozen stadium. The fans should have revolted.

Can anyone tell me why the apparent punt recovery and TD by KC was overturned?

Rant ended.

Well, at most it was a recovery only, can't advance a muffed punt.

But it was overturned because Edelman didn't touch the ball. I'm not sure a lengthy review should really have been needed, but it was definitely the right call, IMO.

What broadcasts and what’s available to the announcers is not the same. Shot over the pitcher’s shoulder shows the sign every time.
Absolutely. Catcher's signs are plainly visible. Especially if the catcher has tape on his fingers or fingernails painted. But you'll notice, Stone rarely calls pitches when there are runners on base. You have to know the sequence of signals and which one calls the pitch. Something the pitcher and catcher know. That stuff can get very elaborate too.

I don't agree at all. I have no interest in watching a game that ends up 76-70. No thanks.

The mini Mahomes on Brady’s shoulders.
I had to go over the thread to see you are the Pats fan. I also saw that someone here called the Pats fans douche bags. Trust me, for every idiot Patriots fan out there you see I will find you at least 2 or 3 Bears fans who fill that bill. I have had a chance to interact with several Pats fans and his assessment of them only hits the mark on a very small minority.

This is all borne out of jealousy. Look at Rick Morrissey's column in today's Sun Times about Brady, Belichik and the Pats. Pure jealousy. But you can bet your ***, all the people around here, including Morrissey, who hate Brady and Belichik would love both of them if they were here and winning like the are in New England.

People need to get over themselves and their petty jealousies. I am rooting for the Pats in the Super Bowl. I picked against them this past Sunday. Not gonna make that mistake again.

Wanting to change the overtime to make sure both teams have an offensive possession seems to me to be antithetical to the tired old military cliches that surround the game of football.

"Bill, I know you just scored, but we need to give Andy a chance as well. Everyone gets a turn."

My wife asked me if I was tired of seeing the Pats continuously being in the Super Bowl. Not if it’s my team. Please don’t tell me Bears fans would object to their team being there every year. I’ve never been a fan of knocking another fan’s team.

I always say that. But let me experience it as a Bears fan so I can confirm it. :)

Although I should digress. I did say the other day I don’t like the Saints and poked fun at the Rams revolving homes but I didn’t call their fans DB’s.

I can see it both ways.

I generally like it when the rules of the game don't change dramatically in overtime settings. If you play timed periods, why is it sudden death in OT? It is a game of possessions (hence we give each team the ball a chance to start a half possessing the ball in regulation).

That said, college rules are even worse in that regards. Let's remove the clock completely and line up at the 30 yard line? Stupid.

So sudden death>>>> college OT, but I think sudden death could be improved.

It's probably my fault for listening to anything Stephen A. Smith has to say. His opinion is what prompted my comments.

I would agree with you that the NFL system is far superior to college OT.
