Looking for your Bears High School Coach and Player of the Week from Week 7 action. Please remember that one player can win this award only once a season so James Robinson from Rockford Lutheran is out already won earlier this year.

Thanks

POW: St. Laurence senior quarterback Alex Martinez. He completed 13 of 16 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns and added another on the ground a day after his father passed away.

COW: St. Ignatius' John O'Connor. The Wolfpack beat Fenwick 38-28 to move one win away from becoming playoff eligible. St. Ignatius won one game last year and has only 26 varsity players.

Pow STL QB Alex Martinez - done deal

COW - thought about Zinanni from BMac for the win over PC but have to agree with Prep Writer. O'Connor from Iggy is doing some good things over there and making the most of what he has.

Joe Peters from LWN had a big week with a couple touchdowns.

I'll double up and give coach of the week to George Czart. First time in school history he has his team 7-0 and setting themselves up very nicely for the playoffs

Jay Winter of PLANO--RB........(#ReaperNation) A quality 4A program led by Coach Bradley Kunz ( U of Miami alumni) Bradley Kunz -- Head Coach. They are 6-1 in the Very-Tough I8 ( Large Division) Jay wasn't the starter at RB (2-3 deep in that position) Jay was used on "D" because of his speed and toughness. Week 3 - Starter went down and Jays number was called. Since then it has been absolutely breathtaking .....Jay Winter has rushed for 1091 yards and 16 TD's . No not a typo! Jay led the PLANO Reapers to a #Waron34 #Rivalweek VICTORY! Their local rival along the Route34 corridor vs The Indians of Sandwich. Stats for this monument a game as follows: 39 carries for 203 yards - 2 TD's and 2 catches for 14 after the catch. Mike LB went down on this RIVAL game so he went in at MLB recording 2 TFL and knocked down 2 pass attempts. Note: Please Nominate Bradley Kunz for his efforts at Head Coach of the PLANO Reapers. Jay Winter and Bradley Kunz with the rest of The PLANO Varsity Reapers , Defeated The Sandwich Indians -at their Place- Not having done so SINCE 2006 ( At Sandwich) Thank you .....From a PLANO Reaper Fan / Dad #ReaperUp #ReaperNation This was a huge Win as it is/was their Rival just down from us. The Indians seemingly saved their best football for the visiting Reapers of PLANO. Thank you .......

In addition please consider the following for Coach of the week Bradley Kunz: Position and lineup changes made during these last few weeks due to injuries at RB, C, LG, DT, MLB and SS made workouts very decision-ish for Coach Kunz but as it turns out very successful . Thank you.

He has done a nice job with that program. They have had a lot of injuries and they've held it together. Nice to have a back like Winter when you lose your starter week 2. I second that nomination.

David Inserra-I don't think he has ever won this award. He got his team to play above themselves again.
