Now I remember why I don’t watch the NFL

Turn on TV, see the Bengals are playing, and think oh I like Demetrius Knight wonder how he’s doing. All I see is the NFL celebration of gay crap all over end zones and signage.

Then I remembered why
if you watch the game, you won't notice. I watched that game amongst others. Mainly the GB/Cinn. game and the TB/SF game. Couldn't tell you what was in the end zones and couldn't care less.

Better gay than melancholy.

I rarely watch it, in part due to stuff like that. Sports is supposed to be an escape not a lecture.
They gotta inject their social BS into everything, whether you like it or not. It's garbage and pure indoctrination of woke nonsense. One day in the not too distant future, the NFL will take it too far like all the networks did and people will drop them like flies and they'll lose about 1/2 their base overnight and I hope I'm around to see it.

I thought the multi colored stuff was for all types of cancer?

Edit: it's the Crucial Catch promotion. I'm a two time survivor of the zebra stripes ribbon type of cancer. I assume the OP was referring to the multi colors behind the end zones and on the goal post padding.

Yep. I don't allow any type of politics to bother my enjoyment of football or basketball. I like and enjoy the sports, period. I know most of the coaches, especially in football, are MAGA. That's their business. All I care about is if they can win games for my favorite teams. I have had to live a large portion of my life where the politics of the day are not in my favor. So, I don't get all triggered by it all.

Good for you. Not many people can do that. I try but sometimes it gets the best of me.

I thought October was Cancer Awareness month, but I was too focused on the game to know for sure. I know the players wear a lot of pink accessories in October for Cancer awareness.

Then I am wrong and sorry for the post. Thanks for clarifying.

I am gun shy I guess cause my company has a big gay pride article and flag on our homepage with the headline “Celebrating Pride.” I was like wth, I thought there was already a gay month earlier this year.

Maybe there’s hope for the NFL after all

Agree. Can't let politics ruin one's life, including one's sports life. Political wins and losses go back and forth and in cycles. It's bad enough stomaching the mediocrity that is Gamecock football. Why would you mix in politics with it? You are then just asking for an ulcer.

You didn't ask me, but "YES". Even if it's about anything but the team, or these days, a sponsor.

Politics is superfluous in the context of sporting events not directly tied to such.

NFL looks like a lot of back up dancers playing a sport. Everybody has a dance for a short yardage run, a catch or a tackle. Love how CB show out when the pass is incomplete due to a bad throw or the receiver drops the pass.

The term "Whatever, Man" helps in life. It keeps you from getting triggered over every little thing and helps you enjoy the the things you like.
