What do you guys think of the conference next year? Gonna have a whole new look next year. Without looking at it into much depth, id be tempted to pick south iredell to win it this year. If West loses all the players that are considering leaving, you can lock them in at 8th. I expect LKN to drop off some losing Ladowski and Joyner. So far (atleast that i know of) West Iredell is the only team witha change of coaches (havent hired a new coach yet)

Not so fast 06. We return alot on offense and defense plus our jayvees won the npc with an undefeated conference record. South returns alot but not alot of good skill players. I know because my cousin plays for south. Lkn will be ok along with ac. Mooresville loses alot andi was not impressed with their jv team. We definitely will be a favorite with the firepower we have coming back. Looking forward to 2015!

As far as South you may Need to get your cousin to help you out a bit more. One starting receiver, and Holmes at Running back. The rest return,(as far as skill kids), and I think most return for a couple more years.

I agree tho that Stateville should be good again, and again ,and again,,its a shame they cant put it together. Sincerely.

I hear that Capps is retiring at the end of the year. I hope he sticks it out cause he is a great coach and an asset to the community and this conference.

I dont see why LKN wont be good again,, but good enough to win it without Ladowski will be a tall order. He is simply that good.

NI return a solid crew. The young RB and QB give them a true chance.

Too much limbo everywhere else,, way too early to guess rt now.

Like i said valhalla good skill players. Coach miller likes to center his offense around his best player, holmes last year and fisher the year before. This mindset does not allow the developement of other skill players. I saw nothing different this year. Those skill players you speak of will have to make some serious improvement in the offseason to contribute next year. I mean when we shut down holmes nobody in the skill positions could step up. You saw the result.

Capps isnt going anywhere.. Atleast not until after the 2015 season

As far as Statesville goes- they SHOULD be the favorites... But how many years have we said this now? Im in no way going to jump on that hype machine until they prove to me they can win. For whatever reason... It just hasnt seemed to click up there. I made the mistake of buying into that hype the last 2 years, not buying it until its proven now lol

And as far as Mooresville goes- dont look at our JV so much last yr- had a lot of freshman and first yr starting sophomores starting on JV. As far as Varsity goes, we still return a real good core group of guys.. QB could be a concern but we will be ok elsewhere on offense. Defensive line loses a beast, but we bring one back. LB we should have more size.

Blazer, you need to point that finger back at Statesville. They highlight one player & one player only on offense. It was the same when Carlis & Tristan were there. If Carlis had stayed healthy he would have been the focal point but with him hurt so much, it went to Mumford.

That is part of my point 84. When carlis went down we had mumfonotstep up as the qb and look at what he did. We finished third in polls with a back up qb in 2012. Mumford made the great play to seal the game at sp.
Dont get me wrong, south willbe tough and have numbers but i just did not see enough talent on the jv side nor on the varsity going into next year to overtake us.
Lastly miller has talked himself about the number of skill people we have.
I guess the question is talent at the skill positions at south. Can pope improve? Who will be the feature back? We will have a 2 headed monster at qb with hogue and ramseur. Hogue quarterbacked the jv team that went undefeated inthe conference. Remember this name keelan keaten. Unreal rb that played on the jv team.

Dont overlook lkn. I thought their jayvees were Tough. Ladowskis little brother plays very similar to his brother but not near as good just yet. I thought their defensive line was pretty good too. Well coached also.

We will be very good but can we put it all together and go deeper than we did this year is the question.

Statesville will continue to have a boat load of talent and underachieve year after year until there is change at the top. Coaches instill zero discipline. Alliw certain players to do whatever they want. Truely season to see the talent level at that school not achieve anything.

Jalen Leach.Remember the name. He's transferring to South.

Sounds like someone that Miller would install as a RB or WR. Wouldn't mind seeing Maxwell from WI coming to South. He looked like a good sized WR with decent hands.

I hope he's as good as you think he will be because I asked a reliable source about him & was told he was more into modeling than he was being a player.

No word or outlook on North Lincoln? I know the NL posters have prob all moved on an won't read into posts until around July but there's gotta be something about them. This year they suprised a lot of people, even gave the 2a state champs a one point thriller but came up short in the end an flopped against real good competition.

I know they lose one of the Jacksons an Thompsons brothers but the younger bros are more athletic an should be more skilled an ready when Aug rolls around. Terrible JV team but I wouldn't go by that just yet. Next years JV should be more promising as a class of talent from what I been told is rolling up from the middle school which should or may put them up in the above .500 win column an by then will be a 2a again playing with possibly Hibriten, East Burke, N-C, an all the lincoln co schools.

As far as next year goes I look for them to either upset some teams or prob finish about the same as this past season.
