You just lost your job. And part of the reason, is this arrogant *** rival of yours that has really made you look bad twice. You know this is your swan song- your last bigtime game that you will coach- it's all downhill from this point. What do you do?<div>
</div><div>You spend the next 2 weeks preparing and doing everything you can with your last shot at that rival. This is it for you- you wont get another chance- you have to go out big- and not some ***** with your tail between your legs. You suspend some key starters on some BS rules to protect them from getting hurt vs LSU. You need them for the big game next weekend- the Finale.</div><div>
</div><div>Nutts ego and self-worth will be tied to his team's performance next week- you can bet he is going to do all he can to win that last one. He will have them prepared and sky high on emotion- he'll tear up during his pregame speech, and utter those famous words- "please guys, win just one last game for the Nuttster"</div><div>
</div><div>Mullen better make sure our guys know this is the Mississippi Super Bowl next Saturday</div>

give and historically teams in their position in this game have done pretty well. If we don't rise to the occasion we will get our *** beat.

they will be playing for 3-9 instead of 2-10. They will be coming off an absolute humiliation having to endure a road atmosphere in their home stadium. They showed last week against La Tech that they have no pride, therefore playing for pride or an outgoing coach will not factor in. The Bears have packed it in.

On the other hand, we could very well be playing for a bowl berth, for a coach that has instilled pride in their team. We have much more to play for, and its in the friendly confines of DWS.

Favre gets his reps, we walk 38-7

All we have to do is hold tight for about one quarter, let that emotion wear off, get a small lead, and they will quit just like they did in the second half of about every game this year. If we get down early then they could be trouble.

Hell I am surprised Nutt did not just go ahead and "suspend" Brassell, Moncrief, and Bolden too.

But I would be shocked if Nutt can get the bearskeyed up enough to beat us. As badly as they have performed this year it just doesn't make sense for them to play well in their last game. If they were able towingames on emotion this year, I think they would have a much better record than they have a this time.

Having said that, Mullen better have the defenseready to play just like this game determines our chances of going to a bowl game.

Names of those guys are called out one by one. They run out on to the field one by one - only to see a 60% empty stadium producing all the crowd noise and excitement of a high school football game.

These guys worked hard for 4+ years. They went to back-2-back bowl games for the 1st time in FIFTY years. They had 2 miserable seasons and this is the thanks they get...

I think they will not be up for the Egg Bowl. They might be pumped for a series or two in the 1st quarter. Then the 1st big play we make on them is going to send them off in a tailspin.

I notice that a lot of the time you say things one way and another so you can always come back and "be right".

If we win big its because you pointed out that we need to make this our superbowl
If we play it close, you pointed out that nutt was going to get them fired up.

I said 38-7, I said we would roll.

Man up and make a prediction</p>

Mullen has yet to lose a game that we are supposed to win. And by supposed to win, I'm talking about a Houston, UAB, Tulane, LA Tech, etc. Not a Auburn or SC.

our team played hard for about a series. That's about what I expect from the Rebels.
we are a much better football team- all I posted was that Nutts is saying screw LSU and is working on trying to pull off the swan song

like to see a C34 prediction as well.
I'll make one next week- it would be stupid to make a prediction until then. What if we lose Russell and Relf Saturday and have to start the Mighty Midget in the Egg Bowl?

We may have been underdogs in '96. Our teams all had similar records those years though.... Anyone with a good memory?

The Black Bears are completely discombobulated. Seniors have quit and are blaming the coaches. Underclassmen are pointing fingers at the seniors. They may be able to put together one quarter of football in Starkville. It is sad actually.

Bolden, Moore an others get suspended for the unwinnable game before Arkansas. Now Scott and Mackey get suspended for an unwinnable game before us. I think I see a pattern.

He didnt give a rats *** when he cameto Mississippiand he wont care aboutour in-state rivalry when he's gone. He's not a Mississippian and theres no in-state rivalry in Arkansas to compare it to.

Hell, they had to train him to treat the Egg Bowl as a serious game.

The Egg Bowl may be just part of the job he has now, and I can see him ready to forget the last couple years and start a new chapter.

His last "swan song" is against LSU(you know, number 1 n ****). He doesn't give two ***** about beating State. What good would it do for him to hold out against Lsu,
just so he could be you guys?

And no, he won't have them "sky high". State will win by at least 3 touchdowns.

My Father's bulldogs were circa 1941.

I do agree that we can and should and most likely will win that game. I just hope the dogs remember to win.

Sometimes people forget to win. That's all I'm saying.

His "swan song", so he go stick his chest out about finally beating Mullen?
Also, I never said he gave a **** about LSU. But they are the number one team right now.

So, you're telling me, you think Nutt would rather his last victory be against Mullen instead of number one LSU?

Hooten don't give a 17(ghey) about Mullen either.
Like I said, dumb post.

He doesn't give a crap anymore at all. He may give some rah-rah speech but that's about it. We may get their best game because the Seniors want to go out winners but I don't see emotion and desire alone leading to victory.

Nutt never planned on being in Oxford long anyway. When it looked like he couldn't get another gig, he gave up. That is why they've played the way they have these past couple of years. I have already explained all of that and won't go back into it. It was made clear against La Tech that he doesn't care even a little bit any more. The team doesn't care anymore either. State rolls in this game in a repeat of Croom's final year.

Well, here's the point. Nutt isn't getting ready to blow up either LSU or State. He doesn't care. Ole Miss won't win either of those games. The fans don't care. The team don't care.

if there is one game he wants - it would be to beat State and stop them from going to a bowl.
