They just mauled Mizzuruh's *** today. I bet the Mizzuruh DL kept asking the ref how much time was left in the game. [laughing]

I'm really pumped about having stenberg, stallings,AA, young for several more years!
Yep. Not to mention we have three very good prospects in Jackson and Fortner and Leavitt who are redshirting. Wolfe might also be a guy who can make an impact. Very bright future for the line. Our most talented players, for the most part, are not even the starters at this point.

Somebody mentioned it in another thread, but we probably should have paid more attention when the Alabama players said UK was the most physical team they played all year. It was hard to see at the time, but the OL has found its identity, and it's to maul teams.

You know as an olineman, they Loved to get their chance to put their hand in the dirt and just punch somebody in the mouth! It's hard to dominate any team for 4 qtrs the way the oline did today.

I heard a bit. But the announcer ranked our line. It was near the top. Was it 3rd in the sec?

Probably the second best run blocking line in the sec behind Bama. Pass blocking is another story, but then again, very few lines excel at both. This group is a mauling run blocking line. Glad to see Gran knows how to tailor his offense to his personnel.

Yep. I think a lot of people just thought the bama players were being nice but in truth as we've seen, they were right

Cole Mosier looks like a completely different player than a year ago. Really impressed with his progress.
Have to agree.

I was not a believer when Cole won the job and Leavitt looked not ready this year. But Cole has been a rock at LT this year to my error. Last year vs. Mizzou while playing for a hurt Swindle...Cole was really bad vs. Charles Harris. THis year...Cole totally dominated a NFL prospect in the run game and when we passed...Harris wasn't the problem he usually is for an offense.

Based on what I saw today, and to a lesser extent for the whole year, Mosier may start appearing on draft boards. If he does, what a great story for a walk-on.

The way this O line has really come on is making me rethink my assessment of Stoops recruiting. Earlier this year, I was beginning to think, OK, clearly our recruiting is better, but it's all little guy/skill position stuffings. Which is nice, and necessary obviously. But if you are still really weak in the trenches - as it looked like we were going to have bad lines on both sides of the ball - then I'm not sure how much better off you really are. Now, it's clear the O line is a strength. Which just leaves one weak spot in recruiting (front four) and a) those guys are harder to get to begin with, there's just fewer of them and b) we've had some bad luck with turnover. Bottom line, Stoops recruiting has a better sheen on it today.....

Never, ever thought I'd be saying it, but we have a monster OL right now. Still not the best pass blocking unit, but we may be the best run blocking OL in the SEC behind Alabama and maybe LSU. And that's a maybe. WOW. Kudos to Schlarman, with a big assist to Gran.

His recruiting was never the question... NEVER... You might have thought that but you were in the minority.

From Oline coach's head being on the chopping block for last couple years, to where they are today, is pretty remarkable. He has this unit playing really good physical football. Really impressed with how he has molded this group.

Hey guys. Let's not forget those tight ends. Getting their noses dirty when they aren't going out for passes. Greg Hart too.

Offensive line has been outstanding the last several games. They are one of the main reasons for this turnaround. Very proud of the big guys who don't get enough love when they only well.

The big move was letting Stallings and Stenberg show what they could do. Since then has made the others play harder, giving all of them more rest and those two have added more physicality to the group.

Mosier likely would have been recruited by some schools had he played his HS SR year, but was injured. Great story nonetheless. How many starters has UK had from Walton-Verona before?
