One somewhat realistic scenario to win the East at 5-3

I know...as UK fans we should NEVER get ahead of ourselves. I'm usually the downer at the party offering reminders of our negative past.

But it's fun to think that even going 1-1 the rest of the way could be enough.

If:
1) We beat UGA and lose to UT.
2) Florida loses to UGA and both of their remaining road games (Arkansas, LSU) to finish 4-4.
3) Tennessee beats us, but loses tonight at Carolina and in their finale at Vandy, also finishing 4-4.
4) UGA also would have at least 4 losses in this scenario, just by losing to us.

More realistically, either Florida or Tennessee will probably find a way to finish with 5+ wins. But we still have a completely realistic shot at this.

Forget relying on the other teams losing (except Florida). Let's go out and keep doing what we're doing and we will be in a position to win bothe UGA and UT games.

Well, of course. But...

1) I'm not on the team. So it doesn't really matter what I think about.
2) I just think the toughest of our remaining games is at Neyland, so I wanted to see if there was any reasonable way we could take the East without winning that. I was happy to see that it isn't terribly far-fetched.

A lot of positive things that have never gone our way would have to transpire but you never know , it feels nice to be in the discussion no matter what happens

All good brotha - we just need to do our thing and hope for some losses.

We just need to win the next two with Florida losing 2 of their last 4 to get to Atlanta. Tall task but is still possible if the football Gods are on our side.

It's win out or nothing. Backing into the sec championship game isn't going to happen and would be fools gold

When reality sets in after the bourbon and dancing, UT will be a struggle to win, Georgia is winnable and UofL is a tossup. Let's be happy that we have very good young team with a bright future. Credit has to go to our coaches, staff and support to bring us this far.

I don't know if Louisville is a toss up, but it sure would be nice to ruin their chances at the playoffs. If there is a chance. They've kept us out of a bowl 2 straight years and it is about time for some payback.
