I enjoy talking hockey on here with you and the rest of the contributers in this thread.
I’m going to ignore this post by you and make believe it didn’t happen.
I definitely look forward to continuing our discussions, they’re fun
If I came across as nastier than I intended, I apologize. I just think you are letting how the Rangers handle their roster have too much impact on how good some of these young players appear.
Because they chose to short circuit the rebuild with Panarin and others, the young Rangers are blocked from significant power play time, and that is not common in the league. Power play points are what makes every player’s production look good.
There wouldn’t be so much talk about Meier if people thought of him only having 30 points right now , but that’s all he has without the power play. Cut his minutes to the less than 14 Chytil gets and his production wouldn’t be much different than Chytil’s either.
Meier is really good, and will help anyone who gets him, but I don’t want the Rangers to pay a ton get a point per game RW so soon after they gave away a point per game RW for a horrible return, and especially to “go for it” in a year where Shesty isn’t playing well enough to carry them like he did last year.
