One of those bands where the lead singer is such a huge personality it is easy to forget that he was backed by excellent musicians.

Huge Smiths fan. If Morrissey wasn't such a jag-off, they could've made a lot more great music. Anyway, as a friend of mine, who authored a biography of the Smiths said tonight, "If you were fortunate enough to know him, you'd know he really was this charming man. Andy Rourke, R.I.P."
