I got the Triple Play (TV, internet, and phone) for $99 a month for 12 months, no contract, HD, and they are waiving the installation fee since it's taken them two weeks to get out here "due to a high influx of service and installation calls in recent weeks."<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div><div>

But I've had comcast for 6 years. They get better and offer more as time goes by, seems a little slow behind satellite when it comes to HD options, but they just added a **** load of new HD channels. Their xfinity service is really adding new technology. I can watch tv and control my DVR with my IPad from anywhere. Their Internet service, is the best in the area. I've had DSL and it sucked. It was slow and went down an awful lot where I live (reservoir). here is a hint. When your special for $99 is over, call them up and ***** and threaten to leave and they will give you a new deal. I haven't paid over $120 a month for 4 years. I have 2 DVRs, business class Internet, phone, all the HD, the sports package, HBO, and Starz. Hope this helps....

With the new update and addition of the new HD channels, it is impossible to beat. I have had satellite before and I will never go back again. Maybe it has improved but I had to reset my receivers at least twice a week. I just had awful luck with it, I know many are happy.

Do as is mentioned above, mark on your calendar when your promotional rate ends and call comcast a day or two before it expires and say that you are thinking about trying out satellite if you cannot get another promotional deal. They will give you a good deal and I have never had to pay full price.

The internet and cable is great, I don't use their phone services.

I get more calls from politicians, people wanting me to donate to this or that cause, and the ******** credit card rate change calls than I actually do personal calls for my wife or myself.

The only people that ever call our home phone are my parents or the in-laws. That was an easy fix saying we were turning off our home phone and they should call our cell phone.

Is it actually cheaper to have the phone line and not use it or do you need that phone line?

Yes the phone is needed. I'm not one of the cell phone only people. If I'm going to be on the phone a while, I would rather talk on something much more comfortable than a cell phone.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div>

but I like having it. I hate using a cell phone in the house b/c you can't just walk around with it with clear reception.

live in the back of Castlewoods. You can't beat Comcast. We have the Digital Enhanced package with HD (only 6 bucks more a month for HD) and we love it. Our broadband, with addition of Cisco E4200 wireless, approaches T1 in speed. And our service hardly ever goes out. And we get FoxSports SouthHD!!!

Is it an app or something? I apparently have been missing out. Thanks.

Xfinity tv allows you to control your DVR and watch tv. Control of your DVR is still spotty in certain areas until the whole new service is rolled out. You can check by zip code. The mobile app allows you to check email (which I have mine set up thru iPads email) and you can also listen to your voicemail on the pad if you have a phone line at home. Check them out. They are both free and pretty damn cool apps.
