The Jersey City native was one of only 13 to have played in both the NBA and MLB.
He was an All-American for Kentucky in the early 60's,going on to play for the Lakers and for the Warriors,later starring for the ABA's Kentucky Colonels.
He also managed to fit in a dozen games at first base for the White Sox and the Angels.In one of those games,he made all three ninth inning putouts in a no-hitter.
