He also told some amazing stories about his life before coming to Las Vegas. The life of a traveling Texas gambler was wild.
I always enjoyed watching him on the WSOP. He was a character and didn't look healthy even four or five years ago. I'm surprised he lasted this long. RIP Doyle.
I met him about 15 years ago during the wsop while I was walking around the Rio. He was in his scooter but was very pleasant and polite to speak with. Sorry i did not think to snap a photo at the time.
