Woke up extra early today so that I could pack for our trip back to the south after work .....and I realize the world is still spinning. Guess the Mayans were off or something, or maybe it just hasn't hit my time zone yet.
Not sure if it was a comet or a meteorite. I think it has to make a couple more passes before impact, but we still have almost 18 hours. And the Mayans used Central time, so that's an accurate figure.
For what it's worth, Giorgio doesn't think the end will happen today. He's having some sort of party in New Orleans where he'll step out of a UFO or some such.

Winter solstice isn't until 5:12 Central. I'm sure that's what they were basing their calendar on so we'll have to wait until then to be sure of anything.
My sources tell me that The World will wait to see what Robert Kemdixie does before it makes a final decision. I would not be surprised to see the world end on or around signing day.
The only one of those that contributes to history/knowledge AND is entertaining is American Pickers. The History Channel got it right with that one. Granted, it seems corny and scripted sometimes but the objects and their history are real.
