This makes logical sense, he is a PA kid who was initially heavily recruited by Temple. Going home to play, wish him luck, but unless they improve their OL he will likely end up just like Warner, in concussion protocol midway thru the season.

nah just could not do it. didn’t get any shaft although that’s the line always used for the back up. lol. hopefully he does well in that conference with that easy schedule. good kid and rooting for him
he was shafted
was not a true open competition
and even former RU qbs questioned why he got no time this year

you have be utterly blind or biased beyond reproach to not see his handling was God awful

He got the shaft without a doubt. There were plenty of times this season to get some snaps in many games but he was dismissed.

Right now it is, but another one of your former quarterbacks is on an official there this weekend, too, per OwlScoop.com.
Since I don’t pay for OwlPoopScoop, mind sharing whom that would be? Mr Snyder perchance?

They could have Johnny Unitas in his prime and still not make it to a bowl game unless they upgrade their OL. Their OL is not only bad, it's dangerous to any QB that has the unfortunate opportunity of lining up behind it.
Yeah, EJ Warner took a beating this year. It will be interesting to see how EJ does on his next stop.

For Evan, this is a logical landing spot for him. Close to home. Maybe Temple is rebuilding the OL and are in year 1/2 of the rebuild. Don't know, as I don't really follow Temple. I would check in every seek to see EJ Warner's stats, and was concerned when I saw he was injured. That young man is a baller.

He was shafted.
Not a Schiano recruit. Wimsatt is his guy no matter how dreadful the performance on the field is.
Enough said.

How was he shafted? Do you really think a coach is going to not play the best player especially at a position like QB? GS wants to win more than anyone
In a blowout (win or lose) it's a great idea to get the backup some reps for the chance of injury and improving his ability to be game ready. That didn't happen. Basically telling him that he is not in their plans.

Or he was trying to develop GW and Simon maybe said he wanted to preserve his redshirt unless he was needed

KM wouldn’t have been used as a lead blocker for Simon…that’s for sure. Evan throws a nice accurate ball but wouldn’t have added wins this year IMO. If you have OSU’s WR’s, well that’s a different story.

Good luck to you Evan. Some of us will be rooting for you just because, others will do so to keep clamoring or posting about what should have been.

Evan can play. He put up 300 yards on Iowa. Not sure why anyone would doubt that he can play. Not sure what Temple’s OL and WR’s are going to look like though. The good SEC teams get highly rated walkon QB’s (see Stetson Bennett) let alone the four and five star guys. Each year about half of the BigTen QB spots are filled by underrated three star type guys.

'he got shafted'

...really? Why no known P4 offers? His best offer/'fit' is with an AAC team that has won 10 games in the past 4 years but he got 'shafted' here?

...I wouldn't trust some posters' abilities to get my first name right if they had my birth certificate in their hands while sitting next to my parents, nevermind evaluate P4 QB potential.

Sounds like someone has doubts about the veracity of his own birth certificate. Don’t worry… Obama has had similar issues in his life.

Simply he got no offers because he didn't get to play. Duh!! He is better than Gavin!
