Been checking this gov site... AirNow.gov

The chart showing the levels of hazard changes often and the very unhealthy and even hazardous levels are very close if not already there. unhealthy level has been there all day

geeze.. just checked again.. state has more hazardous and very unhealthy than simply unhealthy now

Maybe the good news is that Syracuse and Buffalo was in the hazardous blob earlier... and maybe it will all pass over NJ sometime tonight.

I wonder which part of the narrative non Leftists folks will have left out when anthropogenic climate change doesn't pan out.

You can now sail from New York to Anchorage, the short way 'round, at any time of the year. I'm wondering what the definition of "doesn't pan out" is.

Forest fires in the spring in Canada when snow is usually melting all over and long droughts apparently don't back up the theory. Neither does the fact that such things were predicted decades ago.

Supposed to fly home from France into EWR on Friday afternoon. I wonder if the flight will be delayed or changed to a different airport

My wife’s family lives in Montreal. They have zero smoke, zero haze, zero smell. But as of today it was recommended they stay inside anyway.

Looks just like China.

I'm not one to ***** but its getting bad out there. Was out feeding the animals and my eyes started burning, now a headache is starting up. I guess when your eyes start burning you can ***** and tell Canada, get your fvcking sh*t together.

Western hillsborough EPA monitoring station now reporting 486…that is straight up toxic, about as bad as it can get and very dangerous for exposure of over 10 minutes. Eyes are burning and got a headache even with the house HVAC fan on recirculate. Visibility under a half mile.

****ing insane.
That’s really bad wow

Don’t get to excited. Once the moms found out it was game over. Lol. But my sons group of friends does give me hope. Spend everyday fishing, riding bikes, pick up games, building and destroying crap in the woods.
I was trying to find the picture, but back in the 1960s, there was a large fire in Spring Lake (it was in the Borough public works yard, I think). There was a picture on social media showing trees on the same side of the street as the fire, with kids in the trees watching the firefighters fight the fire. There had to be like 10-20 kids. Nobody got hurt, and they all likely lives happy, healthy and long lives.

When I posted yesterday or early today, it was crystal clear here in Wall. A few hours ago, the orange haze rolled in, and it smells bad outside. It's also relatively cold for the first week of June.

One of the many reasons I don’t like China

Just watching one of these meteorological dudes, he said it's not only the fire by Quebec but one in Canada on the West coast and the one in Nova Scotia. There's a low pressure system over Quebec and Nova Scotia. The Jet stream is picking up smoke from all three and with the pressure gradients dropping it right onto the tri-state area. NJ seems to be getting especially *** fvcked by Canada.

Feels like more people are masking up for this than COVID. Maybe the 1st time people actually think the air quality is better in the subway than outside.

They have over 400 fires from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. It must've been a dry winter.

Folks keep the comments about masks, politics, Covid and Trump out of this thread.
