I can see why this just looks like a money grab for more than he's entitled to and he was treated fairly.
I think it probably is a money grab, but the conservatorship I question , even thought the reason was supposedly recruiting related , because the judge that ended the conservatorship said she was disturbed that such an agreement was ever reached and s she had never seen in her 43-year career a conservatorship agreement reached with someone who was not disabled.
"I cannot believe it got done," she said

I'm sure she's also never seen a family take in a extremely troubled HS football player, house him, feed him and treat him like their own son before either. It's a pretty unique situation. The family may have been trying to protect Oher other people trying to take advantage of him.

It's also been clear that the family hasn't taken advantage financially in any way with the conservatorship. They've agreed to get rid of it. They've also set up accounts for his kids which they've contributed to.

Michael Oher wants to be seen as a victim so badly, he knows the media will eat it up and he's deliberately trying to extort a family who may have saved his life.

could be everything you say, I really don't know.
That's why I'm trying to keep an open mind, though side more with the family's version for now, until everything is settled in court and all the facts come to light
Let's see if the family fights to the finish, Oher does the same and lawsuit goes all the wan and not settled before by the family having a NDA part of the deal or Oher drops his lawsuit because he was lying and knows that will come out in court

Wasn't it more of a conservatorship on paper only? Did the family handle one cent of his NFL earnings? From what I have read, I dont think so.

I think it really just comes down to the money made off the movie. Oher seems to be under the impression the family made tens of millions but their position is they made a few hundred grand and he got and equal share.

The premise that the family did not adopt him and lied is weak. There is documentation that he knew. I think his book even covers the conservatorship that he claims he did not know about.

This ESPN article (11/29/2023) has in it >Oher alleges that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy did not account for $2.5 million taken from him in 2011. At the time, Oher was in his third NFL season and the Tuohys were his conservators, which gave them the legal right to forge business agreements in his name >
So if true, the family did handle at least some of Iher's money and in his filing Oher claims the Tuohys cave 3 different versions of what blind side money was shred with him
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39005425/michael-oher-tuohys-false-claims-accounting-blind-side

All the they did and he got BS coming out of this relationship from both sides is why I might lean towards the Tuohys version, but won't say Oher is lying .
