Personally, I think it's cute that you really believe you're intelligent. It's like watching a toddler pretend to cook dinner on a Playskool kitchen.
Two Princeton, MIT Scientists Say EPA Climate Regulations Based On A 'Hoax'

You’ve twisted yourself in knots to believe what you want to believe.ALL sensible and honest people get badjacketed by the kooks
Its a badgte of honor to get swarmed by the "fact-checkers" these days
"Bad-jacketing is a term for planting doubt on the authenticity of an individual's bona fides or identity. An example would be creating suspicion through spreading false rumors, manufacturing evidence, etc."
What a crock. In your zeal to play gotcha you missed a number of points:Is Biden seeking to raise oil output from SA and Venezuela and others, yes. Just like every president has for the last 70 years. You know, trying to get energy prices down. You are probably complaining about high energy prices that are Bidens fault while simultaneously complaining about him trying to lower prices.
US energy production is at an all time high and US exports of energy are at an all time high. This has been written numerous times in this thread.
So no they aren’t facts, there are kernels of truth wrapped in biased opinion. There are no facts to support your claim that Biden is trying to shut down US fossil fuel industry. Over time, they want to switch to renewables just like everyone else that isn’t Saudi Arabia or Russia.
FDU, LOLzYou’ll have to explain the joke to me. A drunk who doesn’t even have an high school diploma accuses me of going to what he perceives to be a lesser school than the one that I actually attended, and I’m supposed to be offended?
An education is what you make of it, the name on the diploma doesn’t really matter that much when you actually get out in the workforce - maybe you can weigh in when you get an education and a job.

A High school with ashtraysOk.
But is this really how you’re going to spend what’s remaining of your life? A government mooching, ineffective troll? Carrying water for a party that wants to dismantle the welfare system that you depend on?
Huge undersea volcacno erupted this year
"This massive subsea volcanic event appears to have elevated the absolute amount of water vapor in the upper atmosphere by some 11%. As high as the mesosphere and into space. Huge ejection. This May last for up to ten years. This added water vapor encircled the earth within several months of eruption. Water vapor (the other “greenhouse gas” according to environmentalists ) is 63X more prevalent in the upper atmosphere than Co2. This single event would have a major impact on warming the entire Pacific Ocean by several degrees, and on northern hemisphere temps."

Should make this an OT thread...the hardcore greenies need a wake-up call about nature vs. man. I think I'll bring it into CE and watch diddles cry lol.
You've posted this multiple times and it's wrong each time. The amount of material, especially CO2, the primary long-term climate concern, ejected from any volcano is miniscule compared to the amount humans have put into the earth's atmosphere. The eruption of this one volcano released more carbon, water vapor and micro particles into the upper atmosphere than the entirety of humanity from its very beginning! Climate change is about government control and nothing to do with climate change. Climate change has been happening on earth since before humans inhabited the planet. My suggestion for the climate wackos here is to enjoy your 70-100 years on this planet and STFU about climate change for the rest of us who just want pursue happiness!![]()
Arguing with you is like arguing with a 5-year old stamping his feet and spewing nonsense. As per the article below, even major volcanic eruptions typically only emit about 10-50 MM metric tons of CO2, which is a drop in the bucket when compared to the 29 billion metric tons of C02 emitted per year by humanity (that's with a "b" - a billion is a 1000 times more than a million, just in case you weren't aware). Again, do a little research before you post or ask a grown-up to help you with your posts.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/starts...2-does-a-single-volcano-emit/?sh=7492cecf5cbf
When you realize that volcanism contributes 645 million tons of CO2 per year – and it becomes clearer if you write it as 0.645 billion tons of CO2 per year – compared to humanity's 29 billion tons per year, it's overwhelmingly clear what's caused the carbon dioxide increase in Earth's atmosphere since 1750. In fact, even if we include the rare, very large volcanic eruptions, like 1980's Mount St. Helens or 1991's Mount Pinatubo eruption, they only emitted 10 and 50 million tons of CO2 each, respectively. It would take three Mount St. Helens and one Mount Pinatubo eruption every day to equal the amount that humanity is presently emitting.

Nope. Sorry my moderate approach to clean energy upsets you.You could always just leave the thread and let the adults continue to converse, rather than shutting down any discussion and dragging it over to your safe space.
You are one angry uninformed biased boob. Thanks for posting your opinion piece from the post regurgitating Maga talking point after Maga talking point. You’re useless. What a crock. In your zeal to play gotcha you missed a number of points:
1) Biden begging enemies like Iran and Venezuela, and at the time SA-at least according to Biden's rhetoric, for increasing oil production while restricting US oil producers is the Euro green policy risk that post was referring to.
2) Biden, or his handlers most likely, started panicking about the increasing gas prices for political reasons. The dummy and his Admin were praising the high gas pump prices but had to react (raid the SPR, beg unfriendly nations for oil) because it was hurting the Dems in '22 midterm polls.
3) I guess if you don't consider Biden's own words about shutting down our fossil fuel industry, or the policy actions like raising costs and limiting land for oil exploration as facts you are simply in denial.![]()

Well since the heat out west thread is completely unreadable, figured I'd post this here. July 2023 is officially the hottest July, globally (and any month), in NOAAs 174 year data record for both global air temperatures and global sea surface temperatures. 2023 is on track to be the warmest year on record for the planet; an excerpt is below, as is the link.
https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/news/global-climate-202307
July Highlights:
Globally, July 2023 set a record for the warmest July in the 174-year NOAA record. The year-to-date (January–July) global surface temperature ranked as the third warmest such period on record. According to NCEI’s Global Annual Temperature Outlook and data through July, it is virtually certain (> 99.0%) that the year 2023 will rank among the five-warmest years on record with a nearly 50% probability that 2023 will rank warmest on record.
- Antarctica saw its third-consecutive month of record-low sea ice extent.
- July 2023 set a record for the highest monthly sea surface temperature anomaly (+1.78°F or +0.99°C) of any month in NOAA’s 174-year record.
- South America had a record-breaking July, with its highest monthly temperature anomaly ever recorded at 3.94°F (2.19°C) above the July average.

All time high energy production.and exports. And I stated he wants moving the country to renewables just like every country is trying to do. . Yawn. So what about Rutgers 1st game of the season. Who is going? Will it be cancelled due to excessive heat. LOL![]()

Let's see the source for your stats--we all know the US has been supplying Euros with nat gas because Russia cut-off their gas supplies. So is it a temporary stop-gap? I'd assume the SPR raid factors into the stats too. We should be aggressively using all tools to replace capacity for what we are exporting if it is reducing our future production capabilities re: reliable energy. All time high energy production.and exports. Are you saying Biden is lying about his fossil fuel phase-out plan for political purposes? Does he have a clue about the infrastructure demands and heavy logistics involved in his so-called energy transition plans? Do you have confidence he is the right leader to make a plan work? You must remember the much ballyhooed $800Bn shovel-ready Infrastructure plan under Obama-Biden was Joe's responsibility to implement and manage. How did that turn out?
Show me receipts where I started the name-calling and insults...I'll bet you it was one of your guys.
Once again, you're completely confusing weather and climate. You posted a bunch of examples of specific hot weather records from the past - these are not indicative of climate at all. Global average temperatures being the hottest they've been in 174 years of record keeping over an entire month and likely in thousands of years overall are indicative of climate change for the planet. If you don't understand the difference you can't add anything of value to the discussion. You also didn't include any source for your comments about the volcano.Nothing unusual about high temperatures in July
A 90F heatwave in January or February would be "climate change."
Every summer polar ice melts and media goes full ninny

Try reading it. You might learn something! The NYT has been a liberal rag for decades. The big change is that stopped pretending they were something else 10 or so years ago.

The July global surface temperature was 2.02°F (1.12°C) above the 20th-century average of 60.4°F (15.8°C), making it the warmest July and likely the warmest month in NOAA’s 174-year record. This marked the first time a July temperature exceeded 1.8°F (1.0°C) above the long-term average.
Not as much as by reading the front page of the WSJ. All editorial pages are political, but the WSJ front page is the most politics free of any major newspaper.
Do you also give them credit for calling Bidunce a dementia clown puppet? The WSJ News is highly respected and non-partisan. The opinion page, OTOH, is about a right-wing as gets. But I'll even give credit to them for calling Trump a dummy and a liar when it is so.
