RIP to the legend. Sad news to read of his passing earlier. One of the greatest to do it, with an incredible story from leaving Iran and becoming an assistant coach on the USA Wrestling team at the Olympics as a young man.
If you happen to see it on A&E one day, the biography they showed about a month ago on his life was very well done.
As was the DVD that his team put out some years ago.

And F the Hulk Hogan!

Saw about 3/4 of the sheik documentary.
As been discussed before , was not even a big WWF/WWE follower but the documentaries are flat out awesome !
Iron Sheik used to be a guest on Howard Stern. He was probably banned when Howard went PC. LOL, here he is punking Donald Trump in 2008:

I first saw him wrestle in the Mid Atlantic(NWA) territory back in 1980. Funny living in NJ all we got was WWWF/WWF broadcast but we found this by looking through a TV Guide and it showed a wrestling show on at Wednesday 2am which really opened my eyes. Loved his persian swings lol RIP

I came to post about this!

Sheik was great and totally out of control during the last few years of Howard being halfway cool to listen to. Some great radio driving around doing my old sales jobs

Yeah, some side-splitting laughter from those appearances. Too bad Artie was not in for that appearance.

Good lord!! 15 years ago and he hobbled down the hall with difficulty and was so short of breath talking, he struggled to complete sentences. How did he make it until 2023?

Some folks are Energizer bunnies.

Over the years, have observed family members, friends, associates who appeared to be on death's door live another 10-20 years without making changes in lifestyle. The human body is a fascinating thing.

The Iron Sheik always had a lot of visceral fat, which is a sure sign of poor metabolic health. I'm going to the baker and ice scream shop to binge.

Back in those days, WWF was the s*&t and the wrestlers were awesome. We had a kid in the neighborhood who used to let us practice whatever WWF wrestling move we wanted on him. Figure four leg locks, Boston Crab, Camel Clutch, etc. The poor kid never had a chance. Long live the Camel Clutch and the Iron Sheik. RIP.
