BTC back to $91K.

Were the "4 year cycle" believers a significant part of the sell off? If so, have they been shaken out?

I assume there was some "oh no, here comes the 4-year bear market" dynamic going on, but I just don't believe the cycles are a thing anymore. However, expectations are a powerful thing. TA itself is completely BS, but since enough people believe it works, it does to a certain extent (especially with algo trading which is mostly based on TA). That's why we all need to respect and follow it.

I'd say TA is real in it's own right, but then is super charged by people using TA to trade.

The key to understanding TA is to realize that price action is the result of human behavior. So TA is actually analyzing human behavior not some random stock price movement.

Silver blasted off to (what looks like) all time highs on Friday.

The long term chart shows it is prone to rug pulls. Peaked at $35 in 1980. Down to $5 in 1982. Peaked at $48 in 2011. Was $14 in 2015. So need to keep that in mind.

50 year chart is a picture perfect cup and handle. Bullish.;)

Edit: Gold had a pretty exemplary cup and handle on it's 15 year chart prior to it's breakout.

That's a good point. TA isn't about math or techincals, it's actually about human behavior and psychology (and herd mentality). If everyone believes in voodoo, it will work. Right? @rutgersguy2

A lot of whale selling and etf outflows. Like I said before, any movement like that is going to spook the traditional four year cycle believers.

Record etf inflows have led the recovery

What do you all think of BWXT? Think at this point is my favorite way to play nuclear.
I'm not familiar, and given that ticker I thought that was going to be a pre revenue business.

But it's a legit money making organization. Solid growth. It's expensive at 50x pe but not all that crazy expensive. 5x rev's.

Chart in a solid uptrend.

MS doesn't have any analysis on it.

Looks pretty good imo. I own CCJ, which is even more expensive.

Some of my recent small cap big losers are popping quite nicely.

TNXP and ARBE both 14%+ today. Maybe they've found their bottom.

LAZR too (up 8%) but bankruptcy/shutting the whole thing down, still seems to be on the table.

LABU has been a nice winner for me that is up 8% today. Chart is beast mode.

PANW struggled with $200 for a over a year, finally took it, gave it back up, is now looking to take it again. $193.

Recently bounced off a low that defined a pretty clear trend line. $230-$240 looks like a reasonable near term high point.

Great day for my leap calls.....SLB, NKE, and SBUX. Hoping to start a few more positions. Also going to start buying UGL for a new gold play (2x Bloomberg Gold Index).

Hmm, that is normally the best time to buy.....on dips after strong earnings.
Down 8ish %. $244

$234 was the Nov low. Probably a level worth watching.

Edit: "The company noted that it expects adjusted operating margin of 7% in the fourth quarter, down from 11% in the third quarter. Operating margin guidance appears to be weighing on shares after hours"

Trump considering an executive order to supercharge the robot industry in the US.

RR up 18%

Maybe that plays into ARBE being up 14% as well.

Hmm, that drop in operating margin is pretty significant. Sandbagging or something real? I'll read up on this tonight.

"Snowflake (SNOW) is expecting a lower operating margin in the upcoming quarter primarily due to
heavy investments in AI capabilities and offering discounts on large, long-term deals. The company anticipates an adjusted operating margin of around 7%, which is below the 8.5% analysts had projected"

AI search is the shiz.

F the metaverse!
I'm kind of surprised they were still spending on it at all in a material way.

Wonder what the activity level is in there?

Edit: Gemini says the number may be as low as 900 people a day are active in Meta's metaverse.

Roblox does well though with 55 million dau's.
