Do you own yet? Maybe it dips back to $80. It's on my watchlist.
Ya, bought it within the last month or two. I'm pretty much flat on it at today's close. Smallish position, so I may add.

Want to comb through the earnings report, and see what analysts have to say about it. Seeing MS has it as a hold. Thinks the expected single digit growth will keep it from rerating. Price target of $92.

I’m sure it’s super profitable
Cybertruck aside, I’d like to hear/read the takes from all the people asking “can the company survive?” as stated in the article. Guessing they’ll age as well as this…

Man that 2000 - 2009 timeframe had to suck for those close to retirement. Just imagine saving your whole career only to have the market do bad around the time you retire. Gotta suck.

My union has an annuity and one of the investment options is the "safe fund" with a fixed 2% return. They encourage us to put a greater percentage of our annuity into that fund the closer we get to retirement. I do have a small % of mine in there but I am mostly in FCNTX Fidelity Contrafund

Great data, but the 2000s negative return is a bit misleading since the decade was bookended with massive events/recessions. I believe the market provided good returns during the middle years (2003 to 2007). Still, awful timing for retirement!

Cybertruck aside, margin is way down and sales are down YOY. If you put those things aside, all is good.

99% of TSLA investors don't care about current margins and sales. Right or wrong, no reason to ignore reality. D'uh.

Melt up begins
Just looked at my basket. AVGO is now my top position (displacing NVDA). RDDT, GOOGL, HOOD, and ANET also in my top 6.

Not in my basket, but one of my biotech plays is starting to rally in anticipation of a positive PDUFA decision: MIST (Milestone Pharma). Only a $250m market cap and if the first indication is approved, it's highly likely a second and much larger indication will be approved in the future (so the stock may rerate with that value in mind).

FYI - only dumb people wait to claim SS. :)

How old is the video? Isn't 65 now 66 1/2 or 67 for full benefits even if you're working? Below that it's discounted . The other questions are:

1. How much are you spending? 140k may be in the high side.

2. What is your tax rate? Are you going to move to a low/no tax state, though some states exempt SS.

What he say makes sense in some cases, but not all.

As annoyingly passive as possible. :)

FYI - finally started a SOUN position.

MSFT stock is on sale for Black Friday following recent “rotation” to Google and Broadcom (congrats to those who saw that coming because if you timed it right you’ve made a killing on all of ‘em. MSFT at 35 PE may not sound cheap but I think the nearterm worst case scenario floor isn’t much lower…as during the 2022 bloodbath I believe it only fell to 27.
Dan Ives (a saner version of Cathie Wood) loves the stonk.

+1
Google/AVGO won the past 2 weeks, but MSFT/OpenAI are still going to be massive long-term winners. Buy the dips and add to positions!

Great episode to end the week:

WTI at a triple bottom price of $57ish.

XOM's 1 yr chart looks to be in a range, but with a more recent bias of an uptrend. The 5 yr is a uptrend, 3 year base, potentially looking to breakout.

SLB has been pressing against post liberation day highs for a month, again a potential breakout.

Though SLB is well below ATH's, while XOM is right there. Catch up trade? Or the better performer?

I did google the idea of US shale fields potentially being post peak as posited by Boockvar, and Google did not agree.

I'm still holding my SLB Jan 2027 calls. Down about 10%, but that can change very quickly. Maybe I'm buy some XLE calls as well? Everyone is bullish on gold getting to $5000 and beyond. I need to get back into that play.....just not sure how: GLD futures, calls, or shares?
