No matter if you hate Stoops or not, no matter if you hate Barnhart or not the UK team that just lost to Bama played hard. They made mistakes sure but they were also playing the Number one team in the country on their home field and were not intimidated in the least.

Why did UK lose? Alabama has better players and they have the depth at all positions.

I salute the effort and now build on it and win the games you can win.

If Stoops is let go after the season that's fine but tonight the players played hard and to not give them credit is disgraceful. It true that their is no such thing as a moral victory but tonight Kentucky played as good as they can play and nothing like the Florida game.

Give them credit for showing up.

Giving it your best effort is all that can be expected by coaches and by fans. You give your best effort when you are playing a better team and hope that they don't have their best game or that you get some breaks and steal a victory. However, you know going in that the odds are against beating a better team. To try your best to beat a better team is admirable. To beat yourself up over not beating a better team is idiotic.

14 turnovers in 5 games............ guys........thats pretty bad. We'll find out a the end of tonight but I bet that ranks bottom 10 if not bottom 3 after 5 games. Thats on coaching and a lack of discipline.

I don't think tonight was reason for excitement, but this is exactly how we thought this game was going to go. You don't go from losing to Southern Miss to beating Bama in the same season. It sucks we don't have a team that we can expect to be competitive against the top teams. It is important, however, to be realistic about what should be expected from the team.

People that cant see this team is improving is blind. We where not gonna beat bama at home lol. The person screaming for Hoak are retarded. Johnson had no time. Bama has the best dline in the country. I thought the defense played pretty well. I came away with hope for a bowl game

The players played hard, but we just don't have the talent to compete for more then one half against a good team. We have some good players, but not enough to last the whole game, without wearing out.

No UK fan should be happy about the loss to Bama. And I still firmly believe Stoops should be fired at the end of the year along with that clown Barnhart. Having said that, the next three games provide Stoops his opportunity to show something. If he wins all three, things will get interesting as the Cats would be 5-3 and 4-2 in the SEC. But I sure as hell don't see that happening.

Don't worry, if Stoops gets the boot, good ole Mitch will run right out and hire the nicest guy he can find. Like Les Miles. While coaches like BP wipe the field with us.

I can[t believe you got so many negative threads. I believe a small minority of our fanbase are not realistic. I still don't think Stoops is the man, hope he proves me wrong, but that can't be judged on tonight. If he can win 6 and be competitive in the losses well that is a good start for rest of season. I know the unrealistic will call me mediocre, but I know that this team isn't winning 8 or 9, I am just being realistic. A few people on here are mistaking realism for wanting to be average. I want 6 wins this season, if that makes me a fan that settles for mediocre then so be it.

Did anyone really expect a competitive game given the coaches and level of talent we have? We are striving right now to get to six wins and have a mediocre season. That's just who this team is right now. We are not very good. If you can't handle it, go root for the Cards and scumbag Bobby.

Face it, we weren't going to win this game. I wish we could've. Hell, I was cheering them on like crazy too. There is just too much of a talent gap and, yes, a coaching gap between Kentucky and Alabama to lead me to believe that we could've pulled off the biggest upset in UK and possibly football history.

I saw a lot of good things last night and a few not so good. Our guys seemed to never give up. They played hard all night and, as far as I know, didn't suffer any injuries. We still can't stop the run or a mobile QB.

Let's get ready and hopefully beat Vandy next week and get revenge on that gut wrenching loss from last year.

I didn't expect UK to win last night but hoped they wouldn't get embarrassed and they didn't. They made mistakes but the result is what I expected...a loss at Alabama. Next weeks game against Vandy will tell me more about this years team and where they're headed. A loss at home against Vandy will be the end of Stoops and company IMO. I'll be there cheering them on to what will be a MUST WIN!

Is it true that Coach Gran said we had too many 3 and outs to get Bennie Snell many carries? If that's not a misprint, or taken out of context, if not, it is mind boggling.

We only got smoked by 28, stop complaining! We are building a team. It takes 25 years!!!!!!! Be patient!!!! Lossses to USM are part of the process.

post of the season, I don't understand these guys who think that 6 wins means we are wanting mediocrity. I am sure that you are like me and would love to see 10 or 11 wins, but that is not who this team is and they never were. Let's get to a bowl, recruit some studs and just continue to get better

Ditto. UK did play hard. If QB Johnson had been seriously injured and knocked out for the season, the same people who are complaining now would have been on Stoops for even playing Johnson when he knew UK could not beat Alabama.:)

Try reading the entire post instead of just the first sentence. I know its hard, but try next time. I have never advocated for Stoops to get another year. In fact if it was up to me, he'd be gone after this season. But we are not beating Alabama with this kind of talent, no matter who our coach is. You can live in your little fantasy world, but until we get someone who can recruit and develop talent, we won't win games like this.

I did read it. Inside your idiotic post, you told people who were upset to go cheer for UofL (Dumb statement #1). Then you said we are striving for mediocrity by winning 6 games, which is a losers mentality (dumb statement #2). Cheering for mediocrity. Lol our fans peeps. My goodness.

Stoops future should and will be judged on the next three games. They're all very winnable games and if we get to 5-3 then I would definitely call that moving in the right direction. Criticizing him for losing on the road to the number one team in the country just shows an agenda and lack of intelligence. If this team doesn't make a bowl game then I'll agree a coaching change needs to be made. But in the meanwhile I'm rooting like hell for them to win every game.

I actually believe we'll have a good crowd for Vandy next week. I hope we whip them up and down the field for four quarters.
