PAC 12 Top Teams & Stats, after 5 games.
* My QB ratings 1-10
# 6 USC, 27th Offense = 480 yds, 42.2 pts, QB-Caleb Williams = 10.
31st Defense, 19.6 pts =358 yds.
# 11 Utah, 46th Offense = 454 yds, 42 pts, QB-Cameron Risings = 8
13th Defense, 14.4 pts, 279 yds
# 12 Oregon, 17th Offense = 499 yds, 40.6 pts, QB-Bo Dix = 9
97th Defense, 30.2 pts, 377 yds
# 18 UCLA, 12th Offense, 506 yds, 41.4 pts, QB-DTR = 10
38th Defense, 20.8 pts, 378 yds
# 21 UDub, 11th Offense, 507 yds, 41.6 pts, QB-Mike Penix = 9
107th Defense, 34.1 pts, 341 yds
Defense. Oregon's 97th ranking is flawed. Take off the UGA game = 49 pts, Oregon's D is allowing 25.5 pts per game and would be ranked 69th in nation. Still pretty bad...
Offense: All 5 teams score about the same in pts and very good offensively. All have very good QB’s. Defense, Utah is tops and the best by a large margin. Going by just stats, Utah is the better team.
But, I think the difference when these teams meet and play will be special teams, limit penalties & mistakes/turn over, ball control by the offense, 3rd down conversions, have a strong run game, physicality and team emotion...
When UCLA won UDub last week, 40-32. I think the difference was that UCLA played with mucho emotion and very physical. And, DTR was on fire, the O and D fed off his leadership and amazing performance. At the end of 3rd Qt, score was 40-16. But, Penix fired back in the 4th Qt, scoring 16 pts.
This Saturday, the game of week is UCLA 5-0 vs Utah 4-1. Man that's gonna be a very good game. It's UCLA potent O vs Utah's tuff D we're gonna find out who's better. UCLA may have the advantage, it's a home game (Rose Bowl). But, it's gonna be hard on UCLA as well. Tuff for UCLA having to play 2 top teams back to back. I think UCLA will lose some energy and emotional punch from the UDub game...
