Do we see a preview of next year's backfield since 32 is sidelined? Can pamlico slow down KJ? (don't think so). Can Murphy's DBs contain pamlicos speed?'
To answer your first question, Yes I think so or at least I hope so. Some people may not realize that #28 is a natural RB and I expect him to look good there if he gets the nod, same thing goes for #6 at WB. I think it would be asking a lot of a young #24 to carry the load at RB after barely playing there all year. I think you go with #28 and let #24 give #10 and #28 breathers.
Second question: No, I doubt it and if they sell out on #10 there's enough weapons to burn them elsewhere. The only teams that have held #10 relatively in check were Pisgah and Mitchell and both were huge up front. Pamlico is small and quick on the d-line, kind of remind me of Robbinsville d-line size wise but with more speed.
Murphy's corners and the replacements at outside linebacker are going to need to play disciplined football, because if Pamlico breaks contain with their speed they're probably housing it. This is why I've said all along that losing #32 and potentially #40 was a much bigger blow to the defense than the offense.
