Not much to talk about this weeks game against Lejeune. So I'll get it started with the Stallions Home Coming game this Friday. The Stallions keep racking up the big numbers in Conference play and sit at 5-2, 3-0 at the top of the conference with Richlands. Meanwhile Pender continues to pile up the loses, they even lost to James Kenan so that should tell you something.
Bright spots for SWO is the running of Sr. Pagan and Freshman White. Also last night another freshman, dont know his name but he was #40. Looks like the stable will be in good shape for a few more years to come. Both our QBs are over 6' and throw to Foster real well. We only threw it a few times this last game but had 2 TDs ....and 8 running. I know we had four backs score, Pagan on his first two carries. As coach Dempsey said in the pre game show we just had to keep pressure on Lejeunes QB. He showed if he has time he can make the plays. With our blitzs and he had to dump it off in the flats which lead to mostly loses of yards. They had NO running game what so ever. Well we did with numerous sacks as we kept 8 or more in the box all night. A late int. could have led to another score but the DB just took a knee after the pick. We were inside the 5 with plenty of time to score but took a delay of game and a knee to end the pain for the Devil Pups and their fans.
I'll predict now that SWO and Richlands will play the last conference game for the Conf. Champonship. Both will probably be 6-0 and tied for the lead. I only have to remember some years back the same script was played out at Richlands. You guessed it !! This game will be at the Lands again this year. Will they show up with Ts pre printed with the win ?? or Maybe the Terrible Towels again. their only real game before that will be against Croatan.
