Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for Jerry Sandusky, an attorney for the former Penn State defensive coordinator said on Thursday that his embattled client used to shower with young boys to teach them "hygiene."</p><p id="yui_3_4_1_1_1323996111272_450">Attorney Karl Rominger, part of the team representing Sandusky against more than 50 felony counts
of sexual abuse, admitted to a local television station in Harrisburg,
Pa., that his client showered with adolescents he claimed to be
"mentoring" through his charity, The Second Mile, but denied there was
evidence of criminal activity. Instead, Rominger argued, Sandusky was
showering with them to teach them how to shower.</p><p id="yui_3_4_1_1_1323996111272_450">The poor bastard that takes over this **** hole has more than football to worry about......

Thought at first you were referencing the person who will be taking over Jerry's ******** and teaching him "how to shower" in the big house.

By Susan Candiotti and Ann O'Neill, CNN</p>

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania -- Former Penn State star quarterback turned
star witness Mike McQueary is expected to testify Friday in a key
hearing for two university officials charged with lying after McQueary
had described an alleged sexual assault he witnessed in a locker room.</p>

The two -- Tim Curley, who was Penn State's athletic director, and
Gary Schultz, a university vice president who oversaw campus police --
are set to appear in a Harrisburg courtroom to decide whether there's
enough evidence to warrant putting them on trial.</p>

These two will be the main ones that will get Penn State hammered by the NCAA along with the other criminals...

They're already looking into it. Apparently, this falls under"lack of institutional control."

I doubt the NCAA has a rule against raping kids in the locker room, so their controls over compliance with NCAA rules wouldn't be affected. However, apparently "lack of institutional control" also includes control over compliance with laws and regulations (which looking back on it, it should). I was being too narrow in my scope when I first thought about it.

With a deadline looming, Penn State has asked for more time to
respond to an NCAA inquiry over the university's handling of
accusations of child sex abuse against ex-assistant football coach
Jerry Sandusky.</p>

Penn State general counsel Cynthia Baldwin said in a letter to
NCAA president Mark Emmert released Thursday that answers to the
NCAA's questions about the Sandusky case might come from other,
separate probes already in progress. Among them is a university
trustees investigation spearheaded by former FBI director Louis
Freeh. Baldwin spoke to Emmert and NCAA staff by phone Nov. 23
about the concurrent inquiries, according to the letter.</p>

Both the NCAA and Penn State have signaled in recent weeks the
school may not make the deadline today to provide complete answers
to questions posed by the college sports governing body.</p>

The Big Ten announced last week it also would conduct its own
review and reserved the right to hand down sanctions pending its
findings. The league also planned an immediate review of
institutional control of athletics at its schools.</p>

The Department of Education also is looking into Penn State,
along with the separate criminal case by the state attorney
general's office.</p>

Sandusky has pleaded not guilty and waived his preliminary
hearing Tuesday on charges he molested 10 boys. He has requested a
jury trial.</p>

The Sandusky scandal led to the departures last month of Hall of
Fame coach Joe Paterno and school president Graham Spanier.</p><div style="overflow: hidden; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-align: left; text-decoration: none; border: medium none;">
