Penn State wrestling swept its opening two bouts at the Collegiate Wrestling Duals in New Orleans. Here are our takeaways.

Two things:

• Expect we'll see Barraclough at 157 as the B1G season gets into full swing in January, and Haines will keep the redshirt, at least for a while. Right now there doesn't appear to be a big difference between the two, nor a compelling need to pull the shirt from Haines. Plus, Haines is stuggling a bit to finish his shots crisply. To me, more signs point to keeping the redshirt than to removing it.
• Don't think Betancourt was ever going to be the answer at 125.
