Penn State wrestling offseason outlook: Will Aaron Nagao man 133 again?
Penn State wrestling has returners up and down the lineup. That includes Aaron Nagao at 133 pounds. Will he be back in that role again?
Totally agreed. We all know the potential he has, but if Davis has the weight on early enough, I think it’s a lot closer than we’d think who is starting. Could he still take the shirt anyway for the sake of the lineup and to get some experience at 133? Absolutely. Mostly just hope Nagao can get right health-wise and start building off his freshman year.Nagao never got going since he arrived. Didn’t he hurt a knee early on and then the illness and now a shoulder injury. He’s battling through it but he is not the same kid we saw in 2022/23 while at Minnesota.
Yes, your recollection is correct.Nagao never got going since he arrived. Didn’t he hurt a knee early on and then the illness and now a shoulder injury. He’s battling through it but he is not the same kid we saw in 2022/23 while at Minnesota.
It would be sadly ironic that two years and weight classes in a row, Davis takes the spot of a guy with a bad shoulder. He needs to improve on his feet. I’m just hoping his shoulder is alright. That’s one of the worse injuries a wrestler can have. Perfect example is Robbie Howard.
Let’s just hope he stopped for precautionary reasons. Will see.It would be sadly ironic that two years and weight classes in a row, Davis takes the spot of a guy with a bad shoulder.
