Thank goodness. I hate those damn Thursday night games. I know there are some mixed feelings on here about them, but being in band I hated it, having an 8 oclockmajor class the next morningI hated it,and now being an alumni that lives 3 and a half hours away I hate it because I can't get to them. Never have liked Thursday night games, and I'm glad that it looks like we won't have on this year.
Per Marcello Stricklin says he expects no SEC games moved to Thursday night.

Thursday night games are always the worst. This year I sat for at least 45 minutes without moving 1 inch after the LSU game... car turned off,just sitting there listening to the postgame show. Then probably 15 minutes of slowly making our way off campus, plus another delay getting off 82 onto 45. I rolled through West Point a little after midnight.
there really is no need to move games to Thurs. We get plenty of exposure as it is and it just makes it more difficult for fans to come. I know people show up anyway, but it is an inconvenience.
And I know what you are saying about going to class the next day. I had a huge project due after the UK game in 1999, and being in the band I had no choice but to go to the football game. After pulling out an all nighter, I did my project and I literally had no idea what I was saying up there for the presentation. I was in a haze and all I remember were people clapping. I asked how I did and one of my classmates said I did good, so I went with it. My grade was OK, so it was all good.
