Not on the list, but should be "The outcome will be THE final straw for Charlie Strong's termination as Texas head football coach although Charlie is allowed to coach until the end of the season." If OU has a TCU-like victory, it is very likely ESPN will report that Texas boosters are secretly meeting with Nick Saban to convince him to come to UT instead of to the Indianapolis Colts.

As an aside, and if you'll begrudgingly indulge me KCT...what's amazing is the Horns have a prediction thread down yonder, and 95% of them are so utterly crestfallen, they're saying things like uh...

"OU, any score they want, Texas, maybe 7 or 10".
I just flat don't recall (since I was born) seeing this kind of total demoralization with them.

Oh yeah, there were a couple of guys that said they were holding out for a Horn upset...but they knew they were talking out of their grommet, and even admitted as much.

Folks, we are witnessing CFB history!
Enjoy it for now and let's hope we feel this good Saturday afternoon.:D

Yep the loser well is a deep one down south Fitty ...full of finger pointing players who are clearly not on same page, AD gassed in season, a head coach over his head, bevo on death bed...the list goes on and on.

OU's Keys to the Game

1. Defensive Touchdowns: More than just interceptions or fumble recoveries, defensive TDs are the keys to winning momentum, building confidence, and crushing the shakey horn offensive cohesion.

2. Avoid Turnovers: Mayfield tends to toss a few stupid passes per game. To date, none have really hurt, but in this game, key #1 can work both ways.

3. Gas the young horns: If OU can manage drives, the 2nd half could be a mess for a tired, no name, leadership void Texas defense.

Get them tired, bored, and/or sad, and you win the game.

Well, I'm a cocky, optimistic type, therefore I think all you described happens before halftime.
Seriously, this horn team is just effed up bad.
OU will exploit that like a drunk co-ed at spring break.

The fact that someone on the Forty Acres gave Bevo a case of the cow AIDS is no laughing matter.

In the "Next Texas Head Coach Bowl" thread over on OB, the troglodytes will settle for a new head coach that doesn't get beat so badly. One who meets the "beat by 21 points 8 times or less" criteria. I wish them success in finding her.

California won at Washington by six, a team that played at USC last night and made the Trogons look like a third-rate team.

Cal beat the Horns 45-44 due to a missed extra point. I'm taking nothing for granted, and can only hope that OU has prepared for this game like they prepare for Baylor or TCU.

The Shootout is never a sure thing until the clock reads 0:00 at the end of the game.
