conference games we play, 8 or 9, they won't win one. They are definitely losing one non-conference game courtesy of Diaz and co. 3-9, maybe 4-8 at best. They are rebuilding for least 2 maybe 3 years, and their non-conference doesn't get any easier.

IF they make a great hire, I think the best they could do would be:
2012 - 4-8
2013 - 6-6 and Memphis or Birmingham
2014- 8-4 and a decent bowl

They're putting a lot of stock into a few young WRs, some of which are long shots to be anywhere near Oxford by 2014. Other than that, they have a serious talent deficit.

I dont see them getting to 8 wins that fast. They are in horrible shape. They have serious talent gaps and this class seems to be a lost cause already. They have a few nice skill guys but that wont win 8 with the schedule they have coming up (Texas in 12 and 13, then Boise in 14). Not to mention what thick said about the possibility ofgoing to a 9 game conference schedule. They have a big time BCS opponent scheduled up to 2018 (GT and Clemson take over after Boise) and if you couple that with 9 leauge games, they could be screwed for a while

who's the qb that leads them in '13 and '14? Who are his backups during this time frame? Brunetti, and then more question marks after that.

I know Mackey has another year of eligibility, but I think all the Bears now realize why I kept saying not to get too excited about him when he was redshirting (when you redshirt as a JUCO it's not a good sign). Their QB situation may be even worse than when Crxxm was coaching us.

next year, they will have two seniors (Stoudt and Mackey) and a junior (Brunetti), whose eligibility has been totally squandered. Next in the hopper is Mikhail Miller (the best QB Miss. has produced since Jason Campbell), who is greyshirting. If you are a greyshirt QB at Ole Miss, you must suck. Which leads to another interesting question, how many of these greyshirt/quasi-student types that Nutt has promised schollies to are going to be kept around with the new staff. I would be willing to be 0. Smart choice guys.

We have bears telling us that Dungy wouldn't be a good pick, But Peyton would be welcome with open arms. Dungy is a multiple Super Bowl winning head coach, Peyton has very little actual coaching experience. Tony Dungy's last name is Dungy though... Peyton's is Manning. Case closed....it's Manning. <div>
</div><div>I don't know how well I would welcome Peyton if I was a bear... Didn't they want to disown the Manning family for daring to let Peyton go to TN with Archie's Blessing? </div>

Tennessee first. Dooley is already on the hotseat according to Lowe. He's not going to Rebelville, that's crazy talk!

but who else has done anything? Did Brassell catch a pass against La Tech? WTF have CJ, Tobias, or the rest of them done that makes those guys think their "freshmen" will lead them to the promised land in the next 3 years?

And most of that behind the LOS or right at the LOS.. I'm not saying he's not fast, I'm just saying he can't catch...much
<div>
</div><div>Hell Bumphis and Arceto Clark have that many catches and they had Relf throwing them the ball for most of the season.</div>

he looks like a future All-SEC player, at least potentially. Moncrief has looked pretty decent too. Other than that, I haven't been impressed at all with guys like Singleton and Johnson.

y'all just don't know about them because you don't obsess over everything they post on twitter and facebook like you do with CJ and Tobias. Senquez Gholson and Cody Prewitt have both started and made plays in the defensive backfield. Serderius Bryant is probably the best (healthy) LB we have on campus right now (which admittedly, is like being the tallest midget, but he's played very well). Aaron Morris has looked very good at OG. Keith Lewis was starting by the UK game at LB. Moncrief and Brassel both have All-Conference potential.<div>
</div><div>The freshman class is very good. As someone pointed out, they may not be here in four years, for a million different reasons. But to sit there and say "Oh, CJ isn't All-SEC, and Tobias doesn't get to play much, so their freshmen suck ***" is just stupid. A lot of those kids contributed on a terrible team and showed some great promise this year.</div><div>
</div><div>As for the original post, if you guys are going to start a thread everytime someone on either of the Sprivals boards says something stupid, well, have fun with that. I promise you stupid **** is said on Gene's Page about once every five minutes.</div>

but, seriously, what about your freshmen, production-wise, suggests getting to Atlanta with some help? I didn't say anybody "sucked ***" because they're not All-SEC (this is for billfremp). I said what the hell have they done that is so glowing? Everybody has freshmen that play.

That's a hell of a lot better than what Brassell has had throwing to him. Seriously, the guy is a special player. Some of their other freshmen are good for freshmen, but he's more than just good.

I would take him over any WR on our team right now. If you don't think he's good you are just fooling yourself.

Also, I hate OM as much as the rest of you. But don't forget that not to long ago we all laughed at how "******" Croom's recruits were. Those recruits took us to a New Year's day bowl last year under the guide of the right coach. I don't expect them to become a powerhouse or go to ATL, but if they make the right hire they've got potential to be much better.

where did I state that Brassel sucks, or is not a good football player, or doesn't have great athletic ability? I asked why the hell everybody wants to proclaim this OM freshman class as some type of saviors of that program? Based on Nick Brassell being fast and playing well for a freshman? I'm still waiting on somebody to answer the 17ing question.

think he is one of the best players to come along in a long time but I am told it took a miracle to get him eligible and it will take an even bigger one to keep him eligible. I may be getting bad information but that is what I am hearing. I don't think Nick graduated high school and was awarded a GED in record time. It is a shame that South Panola is cranking out so many talented guys but they fail miserably in preparing those kids for college and life there after. The facts don't lie.

I was going to say the same thing about Bryant and Lewis. Both look to be very good LBs, especially for true freshmen. CJ has done alright, and I think he'll be pretty good as a rush end when they spend an offseason bulking up his frame to get him to more of a true DE size.

Even Singleton, who has apparently been such a disappointment, has shown he has the athletic ability on kick returns.

Moncrief is the best of the class in my opinion. Brassell is going to be very good once he gets more coaching. Right now he's just playing as an athlete without a lot of technique. You mention Morris, Golson, and Prewitt too. I agree on those as well. It's still a freshman crop, which means they have a long way to go, but we've had a good number show promise already, and that's a start.

Whether they all stick around through the coaching change or make it academically for the long haul, we'll see, but as of this point it looks to be a very good class.

The bad part is that we're following it up with a transition class that more than likely will be short on depth and go through a decent amount of attrition.

All Singleton has ever shown me is that he has real good straight-line speed and that he has a terrible attitude.

and I cannot believe I just typed that. I have watched yall play a good bit this year and if there were one freshmen on your team that I could trade for, it would be Moncreif, hands down. Of all of the freshmen playing for you guys right now, he is the only one that is physically SEC ready. Moncreif looks like he is about 21 or 22 as opposed to 18 years old.

Brassell has an unbelievable skill set, but he is very very raw. You see glimpses of brilliance i.e. the punt return for a TD and you see some WTFs as well i.e. the wide open dropped pass in the endzone against BYU and getting torched by a Ky WR for a TD. Brassell needs coaching, good coaching, not Tyrone Nix coaching. Whether Brassell will be around long enough to benefit from that, I guess we will have to wait and see.

As for the rest of the freshmen, sure they have looked good, but I think its relative to rest of sophmores, juniors and seniors you have at those respective positions. They will get better and better each year and will certainly benefit from starting as true freshment, but to coronate this freshman class as having the ability to take Ole Miss to the SECCG in 2013 or even compete with the upper tier teams in the SEC in 2013 is a little premature and probably a little ridiculous.

Your next HC has a tremendous re-building job ahead of him even if you factor in little attrition. You have absolutely no QB for the future. You have very little depth on defense, especially up front. You have very little depth on the OL and right now, of the 12 commitments you have, 4 are RBs and you have a QB that has only an offer from Tulane. In addition, there are a bunch of "greyshirts" hanging around Oxford that will in all likelihood be asked to look somewhere else when a new coach is hired.
