Offensive Linemen
#200 Denzel Bryant H-F- no question Denzel will be strict a OC OG at the college level. Has good power and good feet and hands and was also solid in one on ones.
#202 Sean Carpenter Fenwick- Good size kid who can and will add more weight/power at the college level. Also moves well and could potentially play OT at say the FCS level for sure and will also be a tweener at the FBS level. A name to watch this spring for sure.
#204 Jalen Grant Mount Carmel- Grant is another OC/OG type with good punch, hands and technique and I was impressed with Grant in some one on ones.
#205 Alvin Gully Belleville West 2021- Gully was one of a handful of names to watch in the underclass here. Is another OC/OG type who has decent size (6-foot-2, 280 pounds?). Gully also moves well for a bigger kid and can pull and get out of his stance quickly.
#206 Devin Hale SHG 2021- 2021 name to watch. Is an OC/OG type (you starting to noticing a trend here kids?) who has a nice mix of size/power and overall used his hands pretty well. Had some wins in one on ones.
#211 Myron Lewis St. Laurence- I saw Myron play live last season and was impressed with his overall game. Can and will play either OC or DT/NG and this kid just grinds and always goes hard.
#214 Will McCorkle Carmel 2021- another younger guy who is no question a name to watch over the next year plus. An OG type, McCorkle has good size/length and frame and physically will be able to add much more size/strength over the next year or two. Played well in positional drill work and McCorkle has a chance to develop into a pretty strong name in 2021.
#215 Michael McGivney Benet Academy- another good sized kid who is still a bit of a work in progress. Needs to cut a bit of weight but moves well and also has good power and punch and a good late spring/early summer will be a key here.
#216 Myles McVay East St. Louis 2023- Yes....Class of 2023. The coaches from East St. Louis wanted the 8th grader to take part in this event and McVay was easily one of the better OL regardless of his age. McVay looks to run 6-foot-5, 320 pounds and was able to show good power, moves much better than you'd expect and basically took every rep and never backed down. An amazing performance to say the least here.
#219 Jake Renfro Providence Catholic- I've been a fan of Renfro's since last summer and Jake was easily one of the top OL here. Renfro is pretty college ready physically (6-foot-3, 290 pounds) and has just a big upside and potential at the FBS level. Has a handful of early offers and will add to this e this winter/spring. Renfro is also a technician and is well schooled in line play.
#220 Isaac Ruder Bishop McNamara- Ruder is another name to watch in the 2020 class. Ruder has offensive tackle length, reach and frame and will continue to add more size and muscle at the college level. Ruder has also worked hard and no question is a bit bigger and stronger this winter compared to when I last saw him last summer. Listed at 6-foot-6, 275 pounds Ruder size and length alone will draw a ton of traffic in school this winter and spring.
#221 Hunter Schrock Maroa Forsyth- Played OC last fall for the Trojans and Schrock is just an experienced and strong overall player. Has decent size for the FCS level OC and goes hard on literally every rep. Needs to improve his overall feet/quickness for the college level but he also has alot of upside. Won some reps and lost some reps but battled hard here.
#227 Jack Walsh Fremd 2021- I just have seen film on Walsh so far so it was great to see him up close and in person. Walsh has good size length but also will be adding much more weight and bulk over the next year plus. Walsh moves well, has terrific balance and he just runs well for a bigger kid. Will need to also add more strength but to me he might be at say 6-foot-4 but looks to have more growth ahead of him. Can Walsh get to the 6-foot-5 range? If so he will draw a ton of looks as an OT.
#228 Khalyl Warren Simeon- Been a fan of Khalyl for over a year now. Played OT for the Wolverines but will be an inside guy at the next level. Has good feet and moves well..also has added a bit more weight and strength and was also solid in one on ones here.
#230 Connor Kovas Joliet Catholic- another inside linemen from JCA who was a starter on the Hillmen OL in 2018. Has good power and quickness and solid feet as well, is a lock on blocker who has also worked hard to improve his overall pass pro. Could develop into a nice OC at the college level.
#233 Javontez Spraggins East St. Louis- set the tone early on and was easily the most physical linemen at this event. Spraggins is a big dude who also moves well, shows real quickness and has good balance as well. Spraggins, who will play OG in college has also improved his overall pass pro technique and has also worked hard on his hands. Spraggins also has a terrific punch and also has a lot of upside here.
Kickers
#103 Andre Casas Oswego East- was one of the top kickers here and was also a top finisher in accuracy.
#104 Christopher Clarke Lyons Township- No idea why but Lyons Township always seems to have strong kickers and Clarke is the next. Clarks also showed a strong leg and also tied Casas in overall accuracy.
#109 Kai Kroeger Lake Forest- Kroeger, who is also a nationally ranked punter for the Scouts was impressive here as well. Has a strong overall leg and will draw a ton of recruiting attention this summer.
#111 Adam Saul Warren Township- Saul showed one of the strongest overall legs here on Monday. Finished just behind the top 2 in accuracy.
Long Snappers
#106 Jameson Geers Providence Catholic 2021- Goof sized kid here who is developing into a solid long snapper who also is a name to watch at tight end. Pulled double duty at this showcase and performed well.
#113 Timmy Malinowski Washington 2020- Malinowski also pulled double duty here and I felt was the most advanced long snapper. Malinowski was very consistent in his snaps, had good speed and rotation. Malinowski also worked out in the PM session at LB and also had a solid performance.
