Renal failure in my Yorkie Jaycee

Just devastating.

We've been doing sub q treatments (did three in three days initially) labs responded some, bun came down to 50, creatinine within normal. Did one treatment in 5 days-twice. Labs back up. Now doing IV therapy for three days. She's on kidney diet food only

She's still eating good and acting like nothing is wrong, but this isn't going to end well.

There just couldn't be worse news for me right now, heading into this big surgery in a few days. My heart is shattered watching all this.


Anything anyone has tried that has helped a dog in renal failure ? Moving to sub q fluids twice a week now to see how she responds. Thoughts?

Sounds like your vet is doing about all that can be done for her. Poor girl.
