Looks like a fun ride. I didn't even know they were making a stand alone film about the SW universe. Big fan of Forrest Whitaker.
They are doing stand alone films every other year. So, we will get a Star Wars movie every year for the foreseeable future.

No, he's a grand admiral, and Tarkin was a governor. Rumor is they are going to have Tarkin in the movie. Supposedly it's going to be a combination of cgi and an actor who looks similar to him.

Thought the same thing. Might not have been as much of an issue if they had not chosen an actor with Asian features for that role.

That particular "actor with Asian features" is Donnie Yen, who is an amazing martial artist. This movie is supposed to be all about characters who aren't Jedi or Force-sensitive, hence the lack of lightsabers. I think it's essentially Ocean's 11 in space, where the assembled team of miscreants has to complete an elaborate heist. This particular trailer seemed a little more action-oriented than that, but that's the logline I've read previously.

Yes. A Han Solo origin film and a Boba Fett film have already been announced.
They announced both. I know that they had a lot of trouble putting a team together for Boba Fett. Has that changed recently?
Yes. At first Greedo refused to participate, but now he is on board.
They definitely announced it. I think they have since parted ways with the director they chose (the guy that did the most recent F4 movie). I haven't heard anything about it since.
